What was everyone's thoughts on the last season? I rather liked it, but I won't miss Martha at all. Probably not a popular opinion, though.

And The Master was a fascinating villian, really. I know he's been around forever, but that was my first exposure to him, and he was awesome.

the fifth doctor regenerates in the 6th doctor. he and his companion were poisoned, and he only had enough antidote for one, so like a hero he gave it to her. really great moment, and an earlier version of the master shows up to taught the doctor as he dies, lol www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvAenK95PfQ

I have not watched the new Dr who...I hate tv show remakes same with the new flash gordon...are they good to the originals? The new Who isn't really a remake but rather a continuation of the original.

While alot of old school WHO fans differed, I quite liked the basic execution of the Dalek/Cybermen war. Just the logic of why the Daleks would mow them down like grass makes perfect sense. I'm not an Old School Who Fan, but I was quite annoyed by that episode. When it was shown here, the build up was everywhere. Magazines had alternative covers of Darleks vs. Cybermen and it was all leading up to it being a rather awesome sequence. Then, when I watched the episode it was a huge letdown considering it was supposed to be this epic battle but it just turned into...well, HHH vs. Hurricane. And tell me monkey boy, how would you have done it? Again, neither you or Doctor Doom (who also hated that episode) have refuted my point of the logic of it. If the Cybermen spent eons in trying to upgrade themselves as beings and parts, Daleks spent eons in upgrading their extermination tools. Of course 6 Daleks would destroy many many many Cybermen. That said, I marked when they confronted each other for the first time. "You are the Cybermen, an inferior race!"

What I dug with Series 3 was how that Shakespeare episode figured really with the season finale when the Doctor refused to murder the Master. "and what, be locked up and forgotten in your closet?" Hell, I really enjoyed that 3-part season finale. Though, I think its funny how the Doctor is able to reverse time, but not in time to keep the American President from getting whacked. Then again, considering 2007, I don't blame him.

It's more miss than hit for me the bad outwaighs the good
They've made the Daleks too powerful, they're the John Cena of DW now people are bored of them and just wish they'd go away.
The main reason i hate the Dalek/Cybermen war is the complete squash, the cybermen have awseome strength why not have them rip some Daleks apart with their bare (kinda) hands.
Series 3 was a disaster though Human Nature (2 parts), Blink, Utopia & The sound of drums were the only decent episodes

(2) That's a good point, but considering my point about the weapons....the world's strongest man can still be killed by the world's weakest man if the latter has a GUN. Fist versus Bullet is a squash. (3) Why was it a disaster?

And tell me monkey boy, how would you have done it? Not Built it up as the battle of the Century. Just say 'OMG, Fate of Everything on the line because of the Cybermen!' Then the Darleks can kick ass because they weren't expected to. Don't make everyone feel they'll be a battle of the titans then make it a burial.

(1) In the old series they could be killed with normal bullets & bombs & a Baseball bat in the new series they have a shield that almost nothing can penetrate (Unless Russell forgets himself), Bulletproof/durable armour & a weak point is enough (Get rid of the shield). Don't make them almost Invincible, even the fans are sick of em (2) Find a way, plus they had a HUGE army they could surround one or a few and tear it to pieces like Zombies do (3) Most of the episodes were s***

My view of the third season: some good episodes, some average ones, and some crappy ones. I think that the good episodes are getting better, and the bad ones are at least watchable, although that might simply just be Tennant's brilliance.
I do have one thought on Capt. Jack as the Face of Boe: F*** NO. Very stupid, imho.
