The rape scene in KIDS was pretty f***ed up. Even worse if you've seen the movie and know th plot.

I Spit On Your Grave takes the cake. It's not just ONE rape, it's ONE person being raped four times by three different evil misogynistic rednecks and one retard. When I saw that bottle in the shot, *I* knew where it was gonna go and I cringed.

Leaving Las Vegas one was nasty, especially the shower she takes afterward. What about VULGAR? A Kevin Smith movie that has Dante Hicks as a clown who some rednecks dress up in lingerie and rape. That was nasty!

Showgirls also has a pretty brutal rape scene towards the end.

They hills have eyes mutant hillbilly rape is just wrong. All rape is wrong you know what I'm saying. That was awful. The rape in the comic prequel is even worse tho, IMO. I had to return it to the shop the next day, I didn't want it in my house.

I'm going to be very annoyed if some random poster decides to be "sarcastic" and joke around in this discussion. Rape is not meant to be used as a tool for laughs.
You can be a mass murder who robbed a bunch of banks, car-jacked someone and have committed a whole bunch of crimes and still despise rapists.

Yeah, I don't know a lot of rape scenes where you and watch it and go, "Man, this is an AWESOME rape scene!" I agree with this post. The first Death Wish film had a gritty rape scene in it. Certainly well put together cinematically. Plus there's always The Hills Have Eyes Can't say I felt entertained after watching that film. (Both the original and the remake)

I've gotta go with Irreversible. Just... horrible. But as others have pointed out, any/all rape scenes are disturbing.

I read somewhere that most rapes are really short, like 30 seconds, so the scene in The Sopranos when Dr Melfi got raped was so raw and fast, it just seem more real than any other I've seen.
But yeah, I Spit on Your Grave is to this day the only film I ever turned off because I felt personally bad for watching it.

But as others have pointed out, any/all rape scenes are disturbing. Very true. Yet I Spit On Your Grave has been hammered universally by critics and audiences more than any other film that contains a rape scene, to the best of MY knowledge. I think Joe Bob Briggs said the rape lasted about 20 minutes in I Spit On Your Grave (*I* sure as hell wasn't timing it). Easily could see why that would disturb ANYONE but in the end, she sure gets her revenge (cutting off the guy's penis the bathtub while jerking him off was particularly memorable). The director Meir Zarchi made this movie after he saw a woman that had been raped in a park and got her to help (and noted how uncaring the police were in regard to her situation) and decided to make a movie where a woman took her own vengeance.

Let's face it, ALL rape scenes should make a person squirm, unless they are a psychopath.
The worst I've seen?
1- The Accused
2- Casualties Of War
3- Scum

I've gotta go with Irreversible. Just... horrible. But as others have pointed out, any/all rape scenes are disturbing. Those who don't say IRREVERSIBLE must not have seen it, because there is no way you can have seen the rape scene in IRREVERSIBLE and NOT immediately think of it when seeing this thread title. And the woman being raped, Monica Belluci, was/is married to the director, Gaspar Noe. I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE comes in a close second to IRREVERSIBLE, the difference being I think I could watch GRAVE again if I had to. I don't think I could bring myself to ever watch IRREVERSIBLE again.

I've heard about that movie, and how horrible the rape scene is.
So I'll avoid it.
