-Fat/Ugly/Stupid Man lands incredibly attractive, smart, but incredibly nagging wife.
That is pretty much the end all-be all for sitcoms these days.

People in sitcome take at least 6 seasons to figure out what they want. Just like real women! Oh, I kid, I kid! -Simple day-to-day tasks(like shaving, making dinner, driving to the store) become near-rocket science for some stupid character.

There will always be one person that's less intelligent than the rest of the family.
Hell, some are borderline retarded.

If show was on TGIF in the 90's you must have a Disney World episode.
They need to bring this back.
House in Disney World.

They tend to have implausibly large homes or apartments.

If two characters share an apartment, at one point they'll feud and perhaps even literally divide the place in half.

Characters mistakenly think someone is pregnant. If two characters share an apartment, at one point they'll feud and perhaps even literally divide the place in half. I LOVE when that happens.

At some point, they'll get trapped in the basement/attic/office/department store and relive old times, complete with clips.
