Went to a cheap-o show at the Starlight Ballroom at beautiful 9th and Spring Garden St in Always Sunny Philadelphia last night. The main act was Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, who I've always been fairly indifferent towards. But they put on a really great show. I'm reconsidering my outlook on them based on how good their concert was.
Anyone else seen any good shows lately, perception-altering or otherwise?

Wow and here I thought not going to a concert since July was weird. Apparently no one else has gone to shows lately lol

I saw Interpol about a month ago. They were real good. I wanted to see Coheed & Cambria today, but I'm poor.

Not a concert but I saw Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black this week. They were awesome. Plus Showalter did the Doug voice which just made it for all the State fans.

I haven't been able to go to a show in over a year, which sucks a dick. It's to the point where I don't even check tour dates since it's way more likely that I won't be able to attend. Hopefully that'll change in the near future though... I miss live shows.

And not only did I nail the G2S I put on the annoconda vice and infomed him since he had a joint in his hand, I was better then him. The joys of being drunk.

Not lately at all. The start of 2007 was the last time I saw a "gig" (it wasnt even a concert, it was just a "gig" a little performance that was "acoustic" (nothing against acoustic ok just punk bands shouldnt have acoustic music ).......oh getting away from a boring memory) >_< Nov. 25th Im going to see a concert (bigger than a cramped little coffee house ) ...you all know "marylin manson" right?...well idk him well but that guy "zim zum" I think he was playing (bass?) or does, idk...but has a band called "the pop culture suicides" right now, and ima go see that band Nov. 25th.....so LATELY ive not seen a concert...lol not until Nov. 25th *yay, so excited because ive had certain reasons and still do of why i couldnt see a concert! but WOO HOO!! IMA SEE A REAL CONCERT...even if it is in a bar MEH...way better than a little coffee house * ((SORRY)) ^_^

I just saw Behemoth w/ Job for a Cowboy, Gojira, and Beneath the Massacre. Behemoth was absolutely incredible, without a doubt the best band I've ever seen live. The rest of it was still really good, with Gojira coming in the next best act, but nothing compared to the headliners.

I don't get to many gigs now, unless someone is kind to babysit. The last two I saw was Dimmu Borgir with Amon Amarth as support and Amon Amarth & Finntroll.
Hoping to get to see Korpiklaani next month and already have my ticket to see Nightwish in March.
