I posted about BAD Sports movies earlier, but now.....BAD Holiday Movies! Any holiday that Hollywood has made a picture revolving around, except why is it that most of the bad ones are set at or around Christmas?
SANTA CLAUS: THE MOVIE (1985) - The Salkind producing clan, who made the first few SUPERMAN movies, tried to pull a Superman narrative on the Big Fat Red Man....and lets just say it doesn't work. Even John Lithgow can't do anything with the garbage he's (overpaid) to do with. I'll be reviewing this baby soon.
HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS (2000) - $120+ million movie where its friggin message is the commercialization of Christmas, inbetween fart jokes.
What else people?

I've never seen Santa Claus but if Lithgow can't float it it has to be a turkey.

I liked Santa Claus the movie.
But then again I haven't seen it since I was Seven.

I liked Santa Claus the movie. But then again I haven't seen it since I was Seven. Watch it again, and wonder..... "Where did the $50+ million budget, in 1985 money, go to?"

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

That's another one I liked. No kidding. Ernest does anything works for me. Of course, I was there for the big early nineties Ernest boon so perhaps my view is biased. My only regret is that I never got to see Vern.

My only regret is that I never got to see Vern. Oh, I was part of the late 80's-early 90's Ernest boom, but I just didn't care for "Saves Christmas". I was more of an "Ernest Goes to Camp" fan, myself.

Christmas With The Cranks. *shudder* The sad part is that I read the book "Skipping Christmas" by John Grisham, and that I could count the simiarities between book and movie on one hand.

Christmas With The Cranks. *shudder* Urgh No wait, I can one up you! How about the Ben Affleck turd SURVIVING CHRISTMAS?

Surviving Christmas was GREAT! Affleck doing comedy is always a plus, and paired with Catherine O'Hara and Gandolfini was excellent.
Christmas with the Cranks wasn't totally bad. At least it wasn't Deck the Halls, which is one of the worse things ever.

Some other Holiday turds:
Deck the Halls The Santa Clause (all of them)
I know I'm in the minority here, but I hated Elf.

Yeah, perhaps my standards are lower or something. I'm a Halloween man myself. Even if truly inferior, all forms of Ernest are acceptable to me.
