My vote might change, considering the number of overbaked garbage that Oscar season poops out as "contenders," but my vote will cause a many disagreements......which is why it'll be the subject of my next review.
Trust me, it'll be worth it.
Until later tonight, what is 2007's most OVERRATED movie in your fair opinion?

The Simpsons Movie. In my opinion, it was a terrible letdown and could've been so much better than it actually was. I know a lot of people love it, but I personally laughed a total of 4-5 times throughout and felt like walking out at times.

Transformers.
Good, but not great as everyone says it is.

SuperBad. I have no idea why everyone thought it was great. I hated it and almost walked out 20 minutes in.

"Transformers.
Good, but not great as everyone says it is."
Because of that main heroine in the movie I spare it.
She has my ideal looks that I find attractive in a girl.
Very nice body.

Do you happen, by the way, to go see Jessica Alba movies? I tend to go for women who are BEAUTIFUL...not that pretty garbage that the best Beverly Hills surgeons can carve up these days for anyone, but the sort that prove that the Gods do exist. That and if they can act, if they have intelligence..... Which btw can't describe the TRANSFORMERS chick. Then again, I doubt TF fans ever cared about the human spectators of the toons or picture.

Knocked Up. I liked it, but it wasn't as funny as people made it out to be.

300 easily, fanboys push that thing to the moon but its like watching somebody else play a videogame. Characters are basically robots that bark out catchphrases. I don't understand the Zack Snyder hype either, considering the only original things the guy added to the script were easily the worst parts of the film.

Damn, what was 300 all about anyway? Some Crappers will HATE my review, I can predict it!

I would have to SuperBad. I didn't stay for the whole movie. I didn't see Ratatouille, but I'm sick of hearing the stupid title.

And I usually enjoy gory action films (Rambo, Terminator, Total Recall, etc.) but 300 left me completely cold. There's no humanity or feeling in it at all, which is deadly considering the film is about one of the greatest military victories in Western civilization. Even a hack like Emmerich tried to create characters who at least seemed like human beings in movies like Independence Day. 300 characters seem more robotic than Transformers.

I agree with Transformers (which I liked) and 300 (which I didn't). As for Ratatouille, it was easily one of the best animated movies I've seen in years. Much better than The Incredibles in my opinion, but not as great as The Iron Giant, which is in a league of it's own. The Simpsons Movie was great, and had me in tears at times. But my pick for overrated has to be Spiderman 3 or Shrek 3. By the way, a list of all movies released in 2007 are found at -- the-numbers.com/movies/index2007.php

I'll go in-depth with my 300 review, but yeah some of what you point out I agree with, but also... There are some good moments in the film, screwed by failures. From the domestic sub-plot of the wife back home to the overuse of slow motion that actually devalues the climax... Really, there is rationale for why I'm concerned about the same director shooting WATCHMEN. Will he try to shoot his own "original" material that will suck air from Moore's masterpiece?

A valid concern. Greengrass would've probably been a better choice. After seeing 300 all the way through, I decided that slow-mo is probably the most overused cliche in modern film.

(1) Greengrass would have made it work. With his work so far, I wouldn't have misfaith in him. Then again, maybe Snyder surprises me and actually does the material right. Crazier things have happened. (2) Yes slow motion is abused WAY too much these days. In fact, the only director I must say that actually understands how to use slow motion is one that people despise. Brian DePalma. Watch MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE or SCARFACE or BLACK DAHLIA....the man knows when to employ it, and how to make it cool without these current idiots that watched way too many John Woo movies.

I loved the movie but Superbad wasn't as good as people rate it as.
