You're always a quitter. You are a moron. And, kids, "overhyped" is a subjective term. This is more along the lines of "movies that were hyped that you didn't like." I thought Transformers was awesome. Therefore, it would not be overhyped in my opinion. Too bad you obviously can't read, as you think "overhyped" and "overrated" mean the same thing. Must feel good to have two names, eh Paragon?

Transformers. It made me hate something I loved, and it also made me want to throttle kick everyone who said "this is a movie where you turn your brain off".

I really enjoyed 300 and Transformers so I am the only guy alone on the internet that liked those movies
The only movie I disliked wholeheartedly was that Fantastic Four Silver Surfer movie, I just didn't enjoy it and many people did, I won't delve into details, but I just did not like it at all

Me and a few other people have mentioned liking Transformers, and I personally enjoyed 300 as well.

First of all, I'm not the Paragon. Insinuating so is very insulting. Secondly, here are some definitions: Overrate: to rate or appraise too highly; overestimate Overhype: to promote or publicize to excess Both of these are subjective. Some of you didn't like Transformers. Some of you did not. No one is wrong. Therefore, the movie could be both overrated, overhyped, and NOT overrated OR overhyped.

300 is one of my favorite movies, and I liked Transformers. It's funny how a cartoon made for selling toy's could be taken so seriously by some people. It's a movie about giant robots that Transform into cars, it's not going to be Shakespeare, it's made solely to entertain parents and kids, and judging by it's box office performance thats what it did.

Both of these are subjective. Some of you didn't like Transformers. Some of you did not. No one is wrong. Therefore, the movie could be both overrated, overhyped, and NOT overrated OR overhyped. I don't think it's that no one is wrong, as much as it is that each of us is wrong to each other. A movie can only be experienced subjectively. It's foolish to say no one is wrong because no one is experiencing a movie objectively. <If that makes sense stop> It is true to me that TRANSFORMERS was bad, therefore is wrong to me that it was good. That's the only way I can evaluate the film, by my opinion. Can I engage another individual's opinion of a matter with the assumption that they are wrong or must I admit that opinions don't matter and not engage at all? Because if neither of us are wrong or right what's the point of opinion? Why even discuss them if they cannot be judged? We are only wrong or right in relation to ourselves or others because that's the only place opinions exist! Subjectively. Now this doesn't mean that the film being bad is an objective truth just because I believe it. I don't think everyone should have the same opinion as myself. But we can both be right in relation to ourselves, and be wrong in our relation to others. To say neither of us are wrong is an objective statement. There is no objectivity here. Sorry if this sounds dickish, but this is kinda pent up. I run into this argument all the time online and offline and I'm sick of it. I still have every right to engage another opinion as the other person has the right to engage mine. Particularly since how one perceives TRANSFORMERS is a collection of a reaction to stimuli and our own world views, which has an impact on everyone we come in contact with and may be changed. It also allows us to learn more about our own world views and how we prioritize what's in movies, games, ect. As long as we recognize opinions cannot be objectively judged.
