And it wasn't as bad as I heard, but it was far from being a masterpiece.
I like Thomas Jane, but his acting in some parts of the movie was a little wooden.
My favorite part was when Ollie offed the religious lady. When he shot her the first time, we all clapped and I yelled "Shoot her again!". And no sooner than I say it, he does. And a ton of people stood up and clapped and cheered. 'Twas hilarious.
Also at the end when he kills everyone and goes outside to have the monsters kill him and the army comes, a big "LOL" should have popped up.
I know I loled when he was screaming "no!" at the sky.
Overall I'd give it a ** 1/2 rating.

It was a great movie, but that ending...
As someone who's been a huge fan of the story for years, that really threw me for a loop. And not in a good way.

I mean, it was far from being horrible, but it wasn't as good as the commercials made it out to be. The locus and spiders did make my skin crawl, I HATE spiders, and can't imagine them being that big. Yuck. I thought them killing that solider was a bit smurfed. I mean he probably knew more than what he was letting on. But he was just a kid, he's allowed to make mistakes. And once they tried to take Thomas Jane's son, I KNEW they had to kill that lady, there was no way around it. Also, I was pissed at his neighbor. That actor ALWAYS gets people killed. First the Day After Tomorrow, then Posiden, now this.

After hearing what they did with the story for the movie, I have to say I'm going to stick with the book. I really, really liked that.

Of course, you never find out what happened to him and his crew. The only guy who meets his demise is the biker. For all we know, they went the same way as the housemother at the beginning (but not bloodly likely.) And those spiders...brrrrrrr...f***ers has Skullfaces. Skullfaces...

Since they were following HIM, I'm gonna assume they met a nasty demise.
