So, I was looking for a present for my grandfather. Thinking of something clever to get him for christmas that he or no one else would see coming. I was trying to think of the things that he likes, okay, wrestling, little statues of western themed things, and the civil war.
Hrm.
Last year I got him the Ric Flair Collection on DVD. He seemed to enjoy it. He's expressed interest in seeing some older wrestling recently so I'm probably going to get him the new WCCW DVD too.
So, combining the love of wrestling and the love of little statues...
I got him the Unmatched Fury Ric Flair statue.
He's gonna have a table with cowboys, indians, and THE NATURE BOY, WOOOOO! strutting along.
Is this just really lame or does it work as a "...wtf that's kinda cool" present?

He if he likes it, it's cool.
Christmas Eve a couple years back, I ran into my grandfather. He was in a mode where he figured he should buy a motorcycle, not sure why, bu he was. He says, "Are you gonna buy me a Harely for Xmas?" "Sure!" I say and we all have a good laugh. I figured I'd get him good, so before I went to his house that night for the traditional Xmas Eve dinner, I bought him one of those little die-cast scale model Harley motorcycles. He was quite surprized when he opened it, because he opened it in such a way as to reveal the Harley logo....he had a good laugh and has kept it on display ever since.
