I bought it on a whim along with Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (finally snagged a copy), and I am here to say that Bleach: The Blade of Fate or whatever it's called, is actually a quite playable and fun game.
Any time there's an anime game released I have the lowest expectations possible, so I was waaay surprised. It's a fun little fighter. And fighting games on the DS are practically non existent as it is, so hey. Even if you're not a fan of the series, it might be worth checking out.
Anyway yeah, just wanted to report that, fun game.

I had the Japanese version for almost a year now and I love it. Almost heartbroken because I saw this game in english with all the english VA (like Johnny Yong Botsh as Ichigo...GRON -_-) and a way reduced price (I brought mine for 49.99 w/o Shipping and the game now is 29.99. Talk about rip off). Only thing I want to know is the American game compatable with the Japanese one (say you play versus or online with someone w/ the japanese one despite having the english one)?

Sadly, unlikely. I actually like Ichigo's voice. I generally think it was a well done dub, though. Maybe enduring One Piece has made my expectations low. I might snag this.

Well the game regardless is a great game. It makes Guilty Gear look like SF2. Though, I do wonder about in-game stuff now, such as the cheepness of Uryu and Rukia. Are they still INCREDIBELY cheep or did they give them the "2nd" pause times to even them out? BTW, if you are looking for an import, get Bleach DS 2nd, it's everything plus more. My friend has it and we mooch of him all the time, but then again, people where mootching off me at first when I got the first game

Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars are the best handheld fighting games EVER, and are the best anime games period, but they can NEVER come to America, as it is licensing HELL here.
Runner ups for best anime games ever are Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2.

I can't find them Pheonix Wright games anywhere. I just bought my DS last week and now have Brain Age 2, New Super Mario Bros., Hotel Dusk Room 215, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Trauma Center: Under the Knife. I've been looking and looking and looking for the Wright games, but it looks like I'm going to have to order them.

Justice For All is a pretty easy Wright game to find, most retail stores still have it around here, but the first one was nearly impossible for me to get ahold of, when I moved to go to college prison, our Gamestop here had a few used copies, so I was like, AWW RIGHT! And they never sold them either, I had my eye on the things since summer, and they were still there yesterday. BTW Trauma Center is fun as hell but when I wanted it bad enough it was IMPOSSIBLE to find, now that I have it, I see it EVERYWHERE >_< How's the Hotel game?

I dub this thred: DS Users anonymous More specifically, Importers of Japanese Anime DS Games Anonymous. The ONLY Japanese games I import are the fighting games. All other games I NEED to read all the text, which when written in Kanji, I can't do.

It shouldn't be a surprise that the game didn't suck. It was made by Treasure

The Phoenix games were hard to find, but have gotten a lot easier. I see the first one for 15 bucks now due to over saturation.
I just ordered the 3rd(comes out next Tuesday) and you get a free PW plushie with it.
Hotel Dusk is cool, but really freaking slow.
The Castlevania games are probably my faves on the system.
