so I finaly played Blade of Fate today w/ my friend who had it and these are the difrences:
-it's in english. Yeah, it's a dead giveaway, but I had to say it. -in the Download Play mode, only the Hosting player has all the sounds. -in 1-on-1 fights, no plain jumps are allowed. -in fights w/ more people w/ plain jumps, everyone in the forground will see the background characters blacken and visa versa. -moves that don't stop a player from exicuting their attacks (A.E. Anything Kenpachi does) will result in your character in your character turning red as you attack them as they do an attack. -only gameplay difrence I was able to spot was Histugaya's Bankai attack. Insted of 2 spheres apearing, going all around and whenever Hitsugaya does an attack, an ice sphere attacks, insted, thouse 2 sphere are stationary and the chards would hom into your opponent and attack them.
the the 3rd and 2nd to last items are manerisms used in Bleach DS 2nd.

Slightly off topic, but has anyone played the Bleach game on the Wii? Bleach: The Shattered Blade?

Soo.... how do you play on the net? for JUS: Even before you do this, try setting up your wifi settings w/ an english game first. Make sure it all works because one you use JUS, your gonna be lost. on the 3rd to the top option is the versus mode (it has a picture of a DS). Go into that mode then go to e picture of Japan, is the wifi mode. click on the first option, then it will ask is if it's okay, hit left, press A and you should connect. The first time connecting will just make the game reconize your DS and the game and provide you a friend's code, you can check the code and imput others on the 2nd option on the wifi settings. Once you get that, you have 2 options once you connect: fight with anyone (the left option) and Fight with Friends (the right option). By pressing X on the right option lets you voice chat. But for now, chouse the left and you should be connected. at this point, it's gonna be trial and error. If your not picked first, consiter yourself lucky, if you are, well, I can't help you.

I bought it on a whim along with Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (finally snagged a copy), and I am here to say that Bleach: The Blade of Fate or whatever it's called, is actually a quite playable and fun game. Any time there's an anime game released I have the lowest expectations possible, so I was waaay surprised. It's a fun little fighter. And fighting games on the DS are practically non existent as it is, so hey. Even if you're not a fan of the series, it might be worth checking out. Anyway yeah, just wanted to report that, fun game. 2-d Fighter reminiscent of Guilty Gear X and yeah it's way better than the ps2 game and psp game. if you liked smash bros and you like anime get jump ultra stars goku vs. ichigo vs. bobobobobo vs. Captain TSUBASA

I dub this thred: DS Users anonymous More specifically, Importers of Japanese Anime DS Games Anonymous. The ONLY Japanese games I import are the fighting games. All other games I NEED to read all the text, which when written in Kanji, I can't do. actualy, there's one series i'd get regardless: Super Robot Wars. I really want W for the DS w/ Voltron.

Void, I like Hotel Dusk, but like Faceless said, it is very slow.
You have to be a fan of mystery games, like the ones from the Adventure Company, to really like it. It does have a nice art style to it though.

So far it seems (I'm not very far) if they quickened up the pace a little, and had a smoother moving-to-investigating transition it would have been a awesome game. I still like it though because I love mystery games.

The note taking there is really extensive, and you can't complete much of the game with out it.

Yep. *SPOILERS*I just got Tetra off the Ghost Ship while she's still stone, and I'm going for the next sea chart in the temple.

I have the chart, which is where I left off. I went to the temple, and got all pissy about doing the same thing over again.
The game is incredible though, some of the best dungeon and boss designs I have ever seen.

Yeah it is. I'm still amazed how great the graphics are on that little card to. My cousin was picking on me for playing the DS the other day, then he saw that game and was like "DAMN!"
I agree though, having to constantly go back down the Ocean King Temple for more sea charts is a little tedious. I wish they had more transport points.

Each item you get makes the dungeon a little shorter. But it is still annoying. Just wait for the next time ya head in. I wont spoil it, but sheesh.
Have you played Lunar Knights? Mix Castlevania with Zelda. Pretty rad game.

No I haven't played. I may check it out.
I also want to pick up all the Castlevania games and Phoenix Wright games (I still can't find the first one, even on EB.com and Amazon.com all they have is used ones). I got to catch up because this is the first handheld I've had since the OG GameBoy.

yay, resurrecting a few month old topic!. Mainly to say I just got the game myself. It's tedious to do everything I did in Bleach DS JAP in english.
I also generated a Friends code: 4339-1047-7036
