I gave up soda about a month ago and i haven't missed it since, i thought it was gonna be impossible since i didn't go one day without it for like 15 years. I know the new in thing now is just drinking water but for so many soda is a must.

I haven't had a soda in...five years. So yes, sir, I believe I can.

Yeah, as long as I have juice or Kool Aid. The main appeal of soda to me is the convienance, no glass to find, no precious seconds wasted on pouring....just open the can and get yo' drank on.

I gave it up nearly three years ago. I drink it once in a great while, and it really doesn't taste the same anymore.
And I used to be a Dr Pepper freak.

Yup easily.
Don't understand personally why someone needs sugary drinks.

Well i have made a conscious effort to avoid pop, and have only had 2 cans of diet coke in 2 months. Feel better for it too

I'm mainly strictly a water guy, so the convience factor of soda doesn't really get to me. Plus it saves my precious money when I eat out.
Plus not to mention the health factor.

] Plus not to mention the health factor. Yeah thats the main thing for me. And juices and kool-aid, gatorade, etc can be just as bad as soda imo.

I've given it up on more than one occasion...but I always seem to go back to it. I'm just way too addicted to caffiene for my own good.

Actually, gatorade is quite possibly one of the best things you could drink, period. For someone that works out a lot I can wax on about the benefits of gatorade for hours about how it's so much better than sodas, water, koolaid, processed juices, etc.

It's the caffeine for me since I drink diet sodas. I have the starting of an ulcer and the soda bugs the hell out of it, but I needs me my caffeine.

According to a study that was done a few years back, if I remember right, the leading causes of Type II Beetus in America are chips and soda.
Make your own decisions but be aware that food choices can affect your health over the long term.

Well, the difference between the sugar in soda and the sugar in gatorade is that it's simple sugar in soda and complex in gatorade. Complex sugar is actually good for you, unlike simple sugar which does nothing for you at all.
