Christmas is less than a week away, and I am in full X-mas spirit mode. Lately I've been asking people what's the best Christmas present they got when they were a kid. Now I'm going to ask my fellow Crappers. What's that gift that made you go crazy with joy when you opened it on Christmas morning? What was the best thing Santa brought you? Have a think about it. Of course it's unfair to ask someone that and not give your answer. So allow me to impart my fondest Xmas gift. For me, it's either when I got Super Mario Bros 3 for the NES, or else it's getting all the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers weapons. That my friends would be the Power Sword, the Power Axe, the Power Lance, the Power Dagger AND the Power Bow! And not only that, you could join them all together to make the freaking POWER BLASTER!!! I can't explain how sweet it was... But I found a picture of it! (Isn't the internet great?) I also got the White Rangers talking dagger, Saba. I was so happy! Man do I regret giving all my toys away!

Well it wasn't a single gift, but instead a collection of gifts that made up one massive present. As soon as I opened up the first gift and saw Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, I started going bonkers (this was 1993 I believe, I was 9 at the time). I got that, Mortal Kombat, a Sega Genesis, and my first TV for my own (19"). That was far and away my favorite X-Mas.
But if we're talking about a single item, I'd say Nintendo 64. Didn't go apes*** crazy like the kid in the video, but I was excited nonetheless.

The 1991 complete set of Upper Deck baseball cards. I was absolutely stoked when I was 9. I knew it was a pretty penny for the whole set at the time, so I was shocked my parents actually got it for me.
Today that complete set is less than $15.

Without a dobut the greatest gift I ever got for Christmas is the "Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle" in fact that is the greatest gift I ever got and without a doubt the greatest toy in the history of toys.
You can have your video games and whatnot. But nothing comes close to the Stunt Cycle! Man oh man how many times did I get that motorcycle caught in my hair!!

Probably a train set that took up half the living room. Got it when I was 7 and I still have it.

Man was that an amazing Christmas....

Probably my Ninja Turtles toys. Man, those were awesome. That and my pewter replica of the 1701 for its 30th anniversary. It was an ornament, but also hung suspended ona steel wire along with the Galileo 7.
Oh, and the base had a button that when you pressed it, you heard Kirk do the whole famous "Space...the final frontier..." intro.
*happy sigh*

Should've asked for the 1991 UD update set (Pedro Martinez's first rookie card.) As for my favorite Christmas gift, If I got 2XL for Christmas, it's that though it may have been for my birthday.

I practically fainted when I opened one of my presents and saw that they got me the Enginemaster Optimus Prime, the gigantic one where the trailer turned into a war base.
But the best one ever was when our dad got us all a ColecoVision, and had it covered up with a giant towel in our kitchen. None of us were expecting it, and it blew me away that we had one. It was great.

Yeah, that wound up being a pretty rough year for rookies. Off-hand all I can think of is the Chipper Jones that's worth anything. I remember there was sweet stop motion-esque Rickey Henderson card in the set though.

NES, followed closely by the year I got a Sega Genesis and Super NES simultaneously. I busted my ass all year long for the latter. This year, I got an early present: a Sega Saturn, and a 32X/Sega CD, for myself.
