I see this hasn't been made yet...
League Cup tonight.
Great goal by Eduardo for Arsenal just now.

Nice move. Shame I didn't think of it myself.
When Part IV is made, it has to be called "Somebody Finally Done The Quadruple."

And Liverpool continue on in the tinpot trophy, I'd love to give a toss about it, but I just can't. Nice to see a lot of the reserves playing tonight. Peter Crouch actually started a game and I was reminded that Harry Kewell still plays for us.

What a joke he has been since he signed for the 'Pool.

Harry Kewell has been a disaster. It's a good thing we didn't pay that much for him.
At the end of this season, we should offload him for as much money as we can get.

How long has he got left on his contract? Liverpool must have wasted millions of pounds on him. I can't imagine anyone else will be prepared to take on his massive wages.

Not sure about his contract.
Newcastle will probably sign him. They'll buy anyone.

I'm OK with this cup. If LFC won it, I'd be happy.
I would never turn down a chance to win a trophy, no matter what trophy it is.

Well, Cardiff lost to Liverpool.
I was expecting the loss, but they played better than I expected them to (against a Premiership team). The team still needs some serious work, though.

I think Cardiff's main problem this year was that they have splashed all this contract cash on big names like Fowler and Hasslebaink without doing anything about the rest of the side. Hence desperately getting Schmeichel in at the the last minute, conceeding lots of goals, being low in the table etc. Although you do have Darren Purse, I remember seeing his pro debut for the mighty Leyton Orient. He's pretty good.

QFT being an Aussie & a Red I have to admit he has not been very good, his best game since he signed for Liverpool was in the WCQ against Uruguay (I was there ;D). In a Red shirt his highlights have been sparse.

Yeah, they were good players in their prime, but I'd much rather have one or two strikers that were much younger (like Michael Chopra). Without buying these two, more attention could've been paid to bringing in better defenders. Plus, they have the 90-year-old Oakes in goal, who's pretty much terrible. Hopefully Schmeichel can be signed on a bigger loan deal, he's the kind of player Cardiff need.

I went to Arsenal- Man City earlier in the season and he didn't look out of place at all playing against one of the finest attacking teams in the world. I don't see a problem with bringing in one older, big name player. Say you signed Fowler and then used some of the money you're splurging on Hasslebaink's retirement fund to sign an exciting younger striker (say, off the top of my head, Fredd Eastwood) then that player would be able to learn from Fowler, Cardiff would have something buildiong for the future. Win and win IMO.
