NEW JAPAN STAR TIGER MASK IV TO COMPETE THIS SUNDAY AT “SACRIFICE” LIVE ON PAY-PER-VIEW! By Bill Banks
On Wednesday morning, the TNA Mobile service issued breaking news that Japanese star Tiger Mask IV will compete this Sunday at the “Sacrifice” Pay-Per-View event.
On the Pay-Per-View, it will be a four-corners X Division match with Tiger Mask vs. Jerry Lynn vs. Alex Shelley vs. Senshi
Tiger Mask IV is currently one of the biggest stars for the New Japan Pro Wrestling promotion, and TNA Wrestling is honored to have him compete this Sunday at “Sacrifice” in a rare United States appearance!
Tiger Mask IV is the latest athlete to compete under the Tiger Mask persona, which is legendary in Japanese professional wrestling. Tiger Mask IV was trained by the original Tiger Mask, who revolutionized professional wrestling in the 1980s with his high-flying aerial artistry.

Wonderful, the one PPV I don't get to see this year. Booking big shows on days such as mother's day just straight isn't a good idea. This might be one I have to check out on dvd...

Tiger MAsk is the current NWA Light Heavyweight Champion
and well he's not really all that great, he's an egomaniac, but he does some nice suplexes and kicks...
I still don't like how TNA treats Japanese talent

I am willing to bet that the "Pioneer of the X-Division" Jerry Lynn wins this match.
I also predict that I will continue to not care about him.
Anyway, I've never seen a match of Tiger Mask IV, I've only heard good talk about him. Could be interesting.

SPOILER: Tiger Mask gets taken out before even reaching the ring, cause that's how TNA rolls.

I bet the match will last five minutes and Tiger Mask will be involved in random flippy spot #11.

Is it known who he is? I think I once saw a pic of him without a mask, but he didn't look familiar.
The cool thing about the Tiger Mask gimmick is that being Tiger Mask is pretty much a guarantee you'll make it big.

I'm sorry but aren't most of TnA's special attraction international match ups usually very disappointing or just unmemorable due to the low amount of publicity and follow through TnA gives them? Not to mention they don't really give them too much time in the ring. I mean they just announced this like 5 days before the pay per view...

Yeah, it came as a big surprise and I doubt the TNA fans know enough about him to mark out big time. He will probably be seen as a talented foreign wrestler, and not much more.

I say someone not Tiger Mask will take the fall and it won't be TMIV winning it. I just hope he busts out a Millenium Suplex during the match. And many Tiger Suplexes and Bombs.

^ The problem with Joe/Liger involved miscommunication, and the ref calling for the match way too early or something like that.
Hence why they start the match out slow, with a feeling out process and then it just kinda ends.

I remember they had someone, I think it was Tanahashi and it was a pretty dissapointing match he had with AJ on some TNA PPV a while back. I'm surprised they didn't just have him appear out of the blue at the PPV like they did with Muta a few months back.
