Hey guys..I am getting a little tired of my XBOX and am thinking about trading it in for a PS2. What is the best WWE game I can get for a PS2? I know anything has to be better than the WWE games for XBOX.

just get SD vs RAW 2007. It's not perfect, and I know that 500 people will come in and say HCTP, but the graphics are absolute ass and the roster is way out of date (But cool for its time)

If you have an N64 and WWF No Mercy, you will not need any PS2 WWE games.

A lot like Smackdown HCTP. It's been a few years but that's a pretty good one. If you can't find that I'd try to get either of the earlier Smackdown Vs. Raw titles.
I've played them up to 2006 on PS2 and they're all better than anything you'll find on the original X Box in terms of wrestling games.

I was thinking of the Smackdown vs. Raw myself. I may try to go with those.

just whatever you do, don't get Just Bring It or SD vs RAW 2006. Both were horrible.

So 2007 SD vs. RAW is probably the best choice?

Yeah, for all it's flaws 2007 isn't as bad as 2006 so go with that.

If you have an N64 and WWF No Mercy, you will not need any PS2 WWE games. Yeah you will, it's so horribly slow now. ----- I'd suggest 2007 or wait for 2008/ECW Invasion.

No mercy may be "Slow" but it's still a better game than the SVR series combined It was the best game for the time but it hasn't aged well, Victor. And I'd suggest actually getting an Xbox 360 or Wii for 2008. Can't imagine the loading to be fun on PS2.

HCTP has better storylines in season mode, better CAW, and better overall gameplay then all of the SDvRaw games combined.

I dunno, I've really taken a liking to SvR:2006. The sheer amount of moves you can have is a little bit staggering, and unbelievably awesome.
Plus, I really do like the Stamina System.

SD 5's graphics dont look bad, dont know what Godz was talking about. Yeah SD v R 07 looks better but not like WAY better. And HCTP has the best gameplay, Season mode, and moves. So yeah you should get HCTP, longer replay value IMO. Or SD v R 06, that has alot of replay value cause of the online system.
I aint played SD v R 07 in like 5 months cause I just get tired of it, in HCTP, the matches were fun and you could come up with alot of stuff (like table spots and stuff). Everything in 07 is all preanimated and you cant do nothing new. For real THQ really needs to just make fun wrestling games instead of "wrestling simulations".
07 is prolly the worst IMO, grapple system sucks and like I said you cant come up with cool stuff on your own, gotta do all preanimated spots...

Get HTCP. It's roster is magnificent and it's one of the last good games there is. SD vs Raw was good but then SD vs Raw 2006/2007 were hideous.

The thing that pissed me off the most about Here Comes the Pain was that the old school Undertaker comes down the ramp on a ring cart with no music and waving to the crowd after I spent time working to unlock him. I really like the gameplay, though, it's more arcade-y like the original Smackdown games. I had a really good Last Man Standing match with Brock Lesnar, and I eventually had to resort to running him over with a forklift.
I also got Just Bring it, Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain for about $10, so there's really no complaining to be done.

Playing as Goldberg in HCTP's Slobber Knocker mode is a great way to relieve stress.
