Under normal circumstances the Alliance winning at Survivor Series 2001 couldn't have happened. Yet the World Wildlife Fund was already breathing down Vince's neck during this time, claiming their ownership of the name "WWF." Vince could have conceivably had the Alliance win and then split the roster into WCW and ECW wrestlers, all under the brand name of WWE (using a new logo, not a modified scratch one). "WWE" would be the name used to refer to both promotions (and they would be treated as promotions, not brands--crossovers would happen, but would be rare) as a whole, kind of like the NWA.
Granted, Vince is a chauvinist when it comes to wrestling organizations he wasn't a part of, but let's say that he wasn't in this situation. Imagine that Kurt Angle had attacked The Rock instead of Stone Cold, leading to an Alliance victory. Imagine that, for once, stipulations were actually adhered to and the WWF was gone for good. Would the titles merged at the show become the WCW versions? What about the Dudley Boyz being WCW Tag Team Champions? Would they compete for WCW or ECW? Would WCW get Raw while ECW got Smackdown, or would some other way of dividing up the shows take place? Would WCW and ECW feud after the WWF was put to rest? Would Heyman and Stephanie feud over the control of ECW?
There are many questions, but what do YOU think would've happened if this extremely unlikely event occured?

I think that having The Alliance win would've been great.
If that happened:
-The actual company could still be named World Wrestling Entertainment Inc, but they would just use the WCW name for TV. -It would be a reason to have Vince McMahon off of TV.
...That's all I really got.
But the Brand Split wouldn't be WCW and ECW it would be Nitro and Raw.

Wanna know something,I didnt have the internet properly back then, and didn't know about newsletters and stuff, but one thing I did know was that the WWF had to change their name, and I went into watching that final match at Survivor Series,PRAYING that Team WWF would pull off the victory.I dont think Ive ever felt that wrestling was an actual competitive sport as much I did that night, just hoping that MY team would win (as it's no secret as my pure hatred for all things WCW),so when Rock finally pinned Austin I jumped up and screamed with joy. Then when I saw Vince on the ramp cheering too,I was like "you/we did it".Yeah it may sound sad, especially as Im 21 now, have been watching wrestling for just over 17 years (jumped on WWF bandwagon at WrestleMania VI),but I dont care,I actually had some celebratory drinks afterwards. If the Alliance had won,and I had to see WCW on my tv screen everyweek,Id be sick.

If they did win, I'd mark, but there was no chance of that happening. If they did, I'm sure at some point WWE would have eventually won the war, maybe at WM18 or something.

I gotta be honest, I don't think this is a bad idea at all. Let's say the Alliance won, and the WWF was no more. For maybe a month or two after this, we would have WCW and ECW operating as two separate shows, both under the WWE umbrella. Now granted, brand names like WWE, WWF, Raw, etc... these are all associated with the WWE brand of wrestling that so many people are fans of. So to completely remove it and replace it with WCW and ECW would ostracize a lot of fans. However, this would eventually lead to a third promotion to rival WCW and ECW: the third promotion would be called Raw or WWE Raw, and it would essentially be the exact same Raw brand that we have now. Storyline wise, they could say that WWF was dead, so Vince McMahon started up his own "Raw" promotion in the image of the WWF style.
Therefore the Raw show would be identical to the Raw brand we have now, SmackDown would be operating under the name WCW (but it would still be the same SmackDown show that we all know), and ECW would be the same as it is now as well.

If the Alliance had ultimately won the feud then it might have justified all their previous losses. After all, in a singles feud you can have one wrestler job out to the other in most matches as long as he wins the final match. In any case, I don't think the invasion would've won the Gooker if the Alliance had won. Here's what I think (or hope) would've happened:
The Alliance would have celebrated on Monday night. They would then announce that they were each taking a show--WCW would get Raw (which would be renamed Nitro) while ECW would get Smackdown (which would be renamed ECW on UPN). Jim Ross would be brought back due to his WCW roots (he'd no longer be called "JR" though, and would ditch the hat and wear a suit). His new partner would be Mike Sanders. As for ECW, Joey Styles and Joel Gertner would call the action.
Several titles would be dropped: the Hardcore, European, Intercontinental (merged with the US), WWF Tag Team (merged with the WCW titles), and the WWF title (merged with WCW's World title). Some new titles would be introduced, including the ECW World, Television, and Tag Team titles. The WWF Women's title would be renamed the WCW Women's title.
In a match to merge the titles, The Rock would defeat Austin and become the sole champion in WCW. Jericho (rehired by WCW) would later defeat both Austin and Rock in a triple threat match to win the title.
Booker T would feud with and beat The Rock, and the two would shake afterwards. Thus, Booker T would become a face.
DDP would reveal that he wasn't the one stalking Undertaker's wife. In fact, he only did the last stalker video. Why? He wanted to make an impact. This leads Undertaker (also rehired by WCW) to search for the real stalker. The real stalker would be revealed as Scott Steiner, who would attack both Taker and DDP.
A bidding war would be waged between WCW and ECW over Triple H and Chris Benoit. WCW would get Triple H while ECW got Benoit.
Shane McMahon would come into conflict with the debuting Ric Flair, leading a group of old WCW wrestlers (Sting, Goldberg, and Rey Mysterio). After this conflict was over, Shane would have to deal with Eric Bischoff and the nWo (Hogan, Hall, Nash, and later Syxx-Pac).
In ECW, Stephanie and Heyman would set about persecuting those ex-ECW wrestlers (who they've rehired) who did not support the Alliance. These would include Spike Dudley, Tajiri, Jerry Lynn, and especially Tazz. However, Stephanie and Heyman would eventually come into conflict, leading to a split between them. Heyman would try to run her out of ECW by bringing in some older stars of ECW--The Sandman, Sabu, Balls Mahoney, Axl Rotten, and Masato Tanaka.
The ECW World Heavyweight title would be decided in a three-way elimination match between RVD, Rhyno, and Mike Awesome. RVD would win this match. The TV and Tag Titles would be decided by tournaments, won by Tazz and the Dudley Boyz, respectfully.
Some wrestlers would be brought back to WCW and ECW under their own names, others would receive new names and gimmicks. Kane, for instance, would be brought back as a bald, jeans wearing psycho named Jacob. He would be manipulated by Raven into becoming his bodyguard. Albert would become A-Train and compete in WCW. X-Pac would become Syxx-Pac and join the nWo. Big Show would become The Giant and join WCW.
Test would join WCW. *cough*
Jerry Lawler would reappear in ECW (!) leading a group of new wrestlers (actually developmental guys) against the old ECW wrestlers.
The Big Four PPVs (WrestleMania, Survivor Series, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble) would remain but under the "WWE" name. Both promotions would compete at these. Individual PPVs would also occur (The Great American Bash, Starrcade, November to Remember, Living Dangerously, ect al). These individual PPVs would replace the former WWF ones.
And those are just a few of my ideas.

I think if the Alliance won it would've gone the original route... where instead of the brand split as it is... it'd be split between WCW Monday Nitro (Raw) and WWE/F Smackdown
