First and foremost, I DO NOT watch WWE at the moment. I will watch ECW if I feel up to it, because I enjoy it. RAW I WILL NOT watch, and SD! Doesn't come on at a good time to test to see if I'll like it or not. According to the spoilers though, it seems like the show is ass.
Anyway, who is dominating our rosters right now? Talentless hosses. Kind of like in the mid90s before "the new generation" period saw a boost in wrestlers' personas and more interesting gimmicks/characters were born.
Maybe perhaps we are in a phase where hosses like Cena and Batista and Lashley rule the WWE, but we'll see a resurrgance of actual talented people in the new few years with great prospects in the like of Kennedy, CM Punk and Elijah Burke. While I would love to see these guys in the ME right now, I think they need time to be built up slowly to increase their worth (see Goldberg, Lashley). Maybe at the turn of the decade, these guys will be Main Eventing, ushering in another age. I already see the greatness that can be with some of the newer WWE stars.
While I won't be watching WWE anytime soon (sans ECW, which is mostly these new talented guys anyway that I enjoy), perhaps maybe in the next few years I can love wrestling again the way I loved it in the Attitude Era.

Could be. I think within the next few years "smaller," guys, i.e. Kennedy, Punk, MVP and Burke will all move up to the top of the card. Guys like Batista and Undertaker are both heading into their forties, so they only have a few years left. There will always be hoss' around, don't hold your breath for them to ever go away. They are just a part of wrestling.

I believe that the last time the change happened was as a result of a steroid scandal. Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart got the push they did, precisely because they weren't obviously roided-up hosses. Unfortunately, that hasn't seemed to happen recently.

They definitely have talent coming through but I think it could come down to management. Stephanie McMahon is widely regarded as useless and she could really hurt WWE if Vince steps down. It would only take a Ted Turner to appear again for a mass exodus.

At the very least, things are better than they were around 2002-2003.

I have enjoyed WWE recently.
I love Smackdown, I like ECW, and RAW has been pretty good since WM.
I find it hard to understand how a person who admits to not watching the product can give a valid opinion on it's quality.
I mean, I don't watch TNA anymore so I can't really say it sucks right now..although I can say the previous sucking is why I no longer watch.

Maybe Punk and Burke could be huge stars if they push them but I don't know. No one I see in WWE right now and to the levels of Austin, Rock or Hogan.

TRUTH.
These four will be dominating the roster in two years or sooner unless things just go horribly wrong. The future is looking very bright, methinks.

It's too bad the transition periods in WWE last longer than the quality periods.
