I recently hired part of the anthology (1992 and 1996) for the weekend, here are some very random thoughts.
- - - - - -
*Sean Mooney isn't as much of a tool as everyone says he is. Todd Pettengill, however, is as much of a tool as everyone says he is.
*"Kickstart My Heart" by Motley Crue would have been such a great theme for the Legion Of Doom.
*With all respect to the big man, I laughed so hard when Earthquake took that first chair shot to the back. I swear it was the softest chair shot I'd ever seen.
*Shawn Michaels' 1992 hair = greatest mullet ever!
*Paul Bearer needs to switch to a decaffeinated brand.
*Hogan says WWF at least three times in 10 seconds. I just found the silence funny.
*If the current brand structure was set in 1996 (RAW, SD, ECW), Ahmed Johnson would probably be ECW Champion right now.
*Sunny = hot!
*Today's WWE needs more spotlight-trons (like Goldust with his Walk Of Fame-like spotlights), and less hype videos and fireworks.
*Mr. Perfect = under-rated as a commentator.
*Who the f*** is Doug Gilbert?
*Rules of elimination weren't as strictly enforced back then as they are now. Randy Savage eliminated himself in 1992 by jumping over the ropes to attack Jake Roberts, but was brought back in and kept going. And then, in 1996, Vader came back and cleaned house, including tossing eventual winner Shawn Michaels over the top to the floor.

A weird thing I noticed was during the Rumble 2001 in New Orleans, after Kane, Raven and a bunch of other guys destroy each other with garbage cans, they were all laid out in the ring with trash everywhere, JR said it looked like a Hurricane had just ripped through New Orleans, that made me feel weird

When i was younger my brother always said it like "seen money."
Quake was awesome in 93 with Yoko.
Paul Bearer used to need a tan.
Doug Gilbert is the brother of the late Eddie Gilbert.
According to Quake, Vader was a big idiot.

Maybe it's because I'm from the U.S. and everything, but you hired the RR Anthology?

Maybe it's because I'm from the U.S. and everything, but you hired the RR Anthology? The great thing about hiring inanimate objects is they generally have no unions, you never have to pay health benefits and you can put your hands all over it and it won't complain.

I just like the song. I thought that the sliding (coudn't think of a better word) guitar in LOD's entrance was very similar to the opening of Kickstart My Heart. Thing is, that was the entrance theme to Road Warrior Animal's brother, our very own incompetent director of talent relations, Johnny Ace, back when he was an active wrestler...

As I try to imagine LOD coming to the ring to "Kickstart My Heart"..... I keep imagining them coming out all normal, with their badass swagger.. but as soon as the chorus kicks in, I see them almost in a dueling Mickie James intro.
It makes me smile while being horribly uncomfortable.

Heres one for ya!
In 1997 Austin was thrown out then ran in and won and afterwards gorilla monsoon i believe made a fourwary between hart, vader, taker and austin to see who will actually go to mania since he said they were the final four. They werent the fianl three was ausitn/ bret and fake diesel but ill give him a pass since diesel was eliminated by a active person hart in the match.
But in the 2007 rumble booker eliminated kane after he was elminated and nothign was thought of, someone even said that counts so why didnt austins eliminations just count?
To clear up the whole mess they should have awarded the rumble to....oh iunno how about some one who went the the middle rope to do a top rope move to the outside...mil mascares! Go watch the tape people!
And finally the undertaker is the first man to be number 30 during two rumbles that were ten years apart...heh!

Not sure how a song about overdosing on coke applies to LOD, but....ok. At least, the kayfabe LOD.
For the record, as a HUGE Motley fan, Iron Man is 9 million times more bad-ass than Kickstart.

Doug Gilbert wrestled mainly in the USWA. He also did a little work in both ECW and Global as "The Dark Patriot." Dark Patriot and Eddie Gilbert actually won the ECW World Tag Team Titles back in 1993.
