Okay, here's my idea for a WWE Film.
It's a buddy comedy starring the Big Show and Colt Cabana called "Stufft".
Big Show is a disgraced ex-Cop (after tackling an 80 year old woman who he suspected as the robber of a bank. She broke a good portion of her bones in the tackling). Show's life takes a downward spiral from here. No job, lagging economy, his wife leaves with the kids, and Show's totally down on his luck. At a bar one night, some drunk frat boys challenge Big Show to eat 10 hot dogs in 5 minutes for $50 bucks. Needing the cash, he downs the 10 dogs in 3 minutes. The frat boys pay up and Show leaves the bar. On his way back to the car, a figure emerges from the shadows. "That was good... For a rookie." The man is Rex Manfield (Played by Cabana), a former World Championship Eater who watched his career flounder after a botched tonsillectomy left him with a throat half it's normal size. Rex tells Show that he could make a good career from competitive eating, but he needs training first. Thinking of his kids, Show takes up Rex on the offer. What follows is a funny, yet touching story of two men finding a bright spot in life when everything looks to be at it's worst.
Rated PG-13 for coarse language, mild nudity, and adult themes.

$4.4M so far? That's sad...even for a WWE film. I know first run cinemas around here didn't even show it last weekend. It will probably end up in the .99 cinemas this weekend at the malls. So much for Stone Cold's lasting appeal Thank god. The less I see of that wife-beating hillbilly the better. now Vince is thinking "reconcile with Hogan, have him be the lead in a movie, EVERYONE loves Hogan, so they'll love to see a Hogan movie"

There is no film company out there that strives to be a straight-to-DVD business. This article is just a nice, bs way of admitting failure.

You want an idea for a WWE movie? How about a western starring Vince McMahon called A FISTFUL OF STEROIDS? Better yet, by the rights for a big screen version of the sitcom PERFECT STRANGERS but recast the movie version with Michael Cole and Great Khali.

Rex Manfield...best name ever short of Lance Uppercut. I'm stealing this. Yoink! Steph as Nubbins...classic.

After I win Powerball, I'll contact you for a finished screenplay. We need to make this happen. Oh, we will sir... We will... Idea Numero Dos Booker T, Ron Simmons, and CM Punk in... Odd Man Out CM Punk stars as Richie "Two Legs" Contini, and low level thug in Chicago with a penchant for violence. Richie works for Big T (Ron Simmons) and Farooq Abdul Raheim (Booker T) collecting debts and any general mischief they decide to get Richie into. After Big T and Farooq are arrested, both men claim that Richie was the mastermind behind the entire crime syndicate, getting them off on probation. Meanwhile, Richie was sent to prison for 25 years. With a heart that yearned for revenge, Richie decided to channel his anger into hatching a plan to escape. In prison, he meets another person who's met the wrath of T and Raheim... Mr. Jack (Ric Flair). Together, Mr. Jack and Richie hatch a plan to escape prison and get their revenge. What follows is a funny, yet touching story of two men finding a bright spot in life when everything looks to be at it's worst. Rated R for coarse language, severe nudity, drug use, and adult themes.

The best move they could make would be to NOT call it WWE Films.
People see World WRESTLING Entertainment Films, and they think "wrestling".
It's not wrestling anyways, it's movies. Why attach the "WWE" name to it?

What branding would it have without WWE attached though? You can't call it just "Films." Maybe "McMahon Films" would work.

I thought one of the main points of these movies was to help make their wrestlers mainstream stars like Hogan became, thats what the main point of the Marine was for Cena anyway. Going direct to dvd will make money, but it won't make them famous, as it's most likely going to be WWE fans renting or buying it anyway.

They should detach it a little bit from the wrestling product. I hate to say it, but the mainstream public doesn't really want to see a "wrestling" film. And by calling it WWE Films, that's exactly what they think these movies are.

I think "mainstream" was their cover for, "We want to make more money." However, Direct to DVD still gives a wrestler a chance to get noticed. Yes, WWE fans will be the most likely to rent, but there are people who love action movies or comedies or things of that such. There is still a chance to get people noticed.

They will get more notice, however this all sounds pretty much like a massive failure. They set up the films part to get their wrestlers into theatres, and the mainstream, because they hadn't been previously. Now they'll be going direct to dvd, which isn't exactly much of a step up from being on WWE tv. As usual Vince was trying to force his wrestlers into becoming major stars outside the industry, and once again he failed miserably.

CONDEMED would do better if the TV spots didn't hype the fact that Stone Cold was in it, just promote it on the plot and you'll have action fans interested in it

Two problems:
1) People simply don't rent movies that go straight-to-video. People usually say something along the lines of "Well, if the movie wasn't even good enough to make it into theaters, it must absolutely suck." And they pass on it.
2) Anything with the WWE logo is an albatross around its neck. No WWE project will EVER be taken seriously by the mainstream media. They'd have a better chance of (a) calling the division "Titan Films", and (b) not continuously hammering the fact that a wrestler is the lead star.
Between the "Straight to Video = crap movie" stigma and the "It's WWE, therefore it's crap" stigma, I guarantee you that you're going to see further DVD releases take an even bigger nosedive than they are already.
You think Condemned was bad? It's going to look like Spider Man 3 by comparison when you see how badly the straight-to-DVD movies do.

Chyna & Eugene in She-Male and the Retard.
Featuring Nick Dinsmore as Eugene's brother Danzig, a violent loner who has difficulty reconciling Eugene's mental challenges with the success and popularity he attained as a professional athlete. Chyna plays Zyxx, a she-male alien who must travel to Denver in order to eat the brains of the locals to cure her she-manliness.
The film is shot from the perspective of the innocent Eugene and is described as a mis-match comedy action drama buddy pic for all the family.
Special appearance by Luna Vachon as "Linda McMahon".
