1PW booked themself into this postition, trying to fly in about 20 top names from the US each isn't cheap and anyway they didn't push UK talent well and became the FWA of past.
This really makes the IPW vs FWA match all that more important as both companys ownership is on the line and the winning promotion will be the biggest in the whole of the UK

UK talent like Spud & a few others appeared on 1PW shows, but they were more concerned with flying in the big names from North America. That's all well & good, but having more than 2 big name performers like Abyss is overkill. They rarely used the big-name talent to get the homegrown talent over either. Why pit AJ Styles against Abyss? We've seen that on TNA programming already. You'd be better served by having Pac take on AJ.

My main problem was the way they booked Spud, before 1PW he was like Rey Mysterio to a mark now he's getting WM Cena heat. They didn't know how to book an underdog angle, you don't let a guy who belongs in Smackdown's Junior Division over Abyss in dominate fashion. If you look at there feud Abyss always cheated to win with SJK. Plus when they put SJK and Spud as a tag team they made him look retarded and all of his interactions with Storm and Fleisch ,ade him look like a spoiled brat.

wow that sucks, i really liked this promotion. It brought together a lot of talent i didnt see elsewhere. Plus, it was cool to see Steve Corino get hardcore again.

Well there is a promotion called APW who is hoping to use this unfourtanate incedent to bring british wrestling back! The problem with British Wrestling is that too many people think wrestling & immediately think WWE, not believeing that any other company is worth a look. I like to call those people idiots. Basically, WWE IS wrestling to alot of people (which is ironic as WWE hate being thought of as wrestling) & those who only see WWE on TV will ignore smaller indy promotions (or even some other larger promotions like TNA & RoH).

Thank you Stephen *clap clap clapclapclap*!
This isn't a surprise, and as Lariatoooo said, makes the FWA vs. IPW feud all the more important (I'm FWA, btw, cos I used to work out at the same gym as Alex Shane, but I'm forced to sit in the neutral area because of my stoopid friends)

The 1PW promoter is f***ing stupid. I figured this would happen soon, they were in a lot of trouble. The only good thing here is that I know 1PW actually paid all of their wrestlers for all of their shows.

It's people not giving a crap about the British talent that's holding our wrestling back... I attend a helluva lot of shows, and there are great guys out there... IPW in particular is almost totally lacking imports (as is SAS), and it's my favourite promotion.

The difference between IPW and 1PW was that IPW was a british promotion with some imports like Ultimo Dragon and Ricky Marvin while 1PW was an American promotion that just hapened to do its show in england.
