He was signed to development but still has to follow through with all his indie commitments right?
How many farewell shows did he do?
Another poster said WWE fired him?
The rumor going around is there was a scheduling conflict and they are having trouble with getting him a spot in DSW or OVW

Heres the latest from a post earlier today:
"Claudio Castagnoli appears to have been fired before he ever even worked one day for the company. As expected, it was a visa issue, and we’re told that Claudio was not exactly forthcoming about the issue, and that Simon Dean (head of developmental) also got heat for assuming that a guy from Europe would have all of his legal papers squared away. Both guys made mistakes and it bit Claudio in the ass."

Get him to marry a legal US citizen
seriously just do that
Oh and I would like to say this.
IF this is true that WWE fired him for not having the correct working visa. If he wasn't upfront with WWE.
That is all on Claudio.
But, you know this means more Claudio in PWG and that makes me happy.
I'd love to see thE Kings of Wrestling in TNA

Seriously though, the WWE is probably blowing a minor paperwork snafu out of proportion. Not to turn this political or anything but in this day and age, there really is no "small" visa or immigration paper work issues. Also, WWE could lose a lot of money if they paid him and it turned out he wasn't legal at the time.

The question I have then is how is he even working in the states at all right now if he's having visa issues?

This kind of stuff has happened with guys WWE has tried to sign to developmental deals before and they pretty much always bring them back in when they get all the paperwork taken care of.
Nathan Jones was one I remember this happening to. As well as Steve Lewington I believe, who is now back in OVW for the 2nd time.
So, Claudio will probably have another chance.

As far as I know, Claudio's been legal for at least a year now. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't be working the indies here in America. He'd probably be back in Europe.

I don't know about visas and greencards and how they work, but do they have to be renewed regularly? Maybe that was the issue, in that he either hasn't or did send in the renewal but it wasn't filed at the time. eh, who knows.

I'm sure Claudio will comment on it soon, and once it gets sorted out, if it can, he'll be welcomed back to DSW.

It's just WWE covering there butt. I can't blame them really why loose money on a guy who's just on a developemental contract. I do think Claudio would do well on the WWE and I also think he'll be back in the E like someone said above.
