I rarely go old school cause the newer guys always improve moves but I am going with Jake!
I like it when Vince threw a fit when Jake killed Steamboat with 1 and started crying.

Jake.
Everyone else are pretenders to the throne. Although, some are great and close the awesomeness of the original.

Jake Roberts....it was "game over" to whoever got hit with it.
Christian is up there too, the Implant DDTs he gave looked vicious, slightly better than Gangrel's.

It's a toss-up between Raven + Jake... Gonna go with Jake.
But if he was on here, I'd vote for DDP and his Diamond Cutter.

But if he was on here, I'd vote for DDP and his Diamond Cutter. Because as we all know, the Diamond Cutter is so cool it would even win a best DDT competition.

Because as we all know, the Diamond Cutter is so cool it would even win a best DDT competition. What would you classify the diamond cutter as, if not a DDT? A cutter (or an Ace Crusher for the old school fans). Here's an article on it. See, when you look up moves on wikipedia, they fall under certain categories. If the cutter was a DDT, it would be under the DDT article along with the countless other variations. I can see why you'd think it was a DDT, as it has mostly the same mechanics as one, but most classify it as it's own move entirely.

I just checked Wikipedia, and came across this: "In professional wrestling a Cutter is a common term which refers to the three-quarter facelock bulldog maneuver."
So yeah, I guess if you're going to be really ANAL about it, DDP's move is technically a cutter and not a DDT. But to people who've never taken wrestling classes and therefore don't have PhDs in wrestling terminology, the resemblance that the Diamond Cutter bears to a DDT compelled me to classify them along the same lines.
The fact that I've never heard wrestling commentators refer to ANY other move as a 'cutter' (not Joey Styles, not Jim Ross, not even Gordon Solie) convinced me that it was just an idiom relative to DDP's finishing move, and not actually a reference to an entirely different category of moves.
EDIT: This post was uploaded just shortly after people bothered to distinguish the difference between a cutter and a DDT - it just got posted a few seconds too late

other for 2 ddt's not mentioned.
Ian rotten's "rotten rush" was pretty nasty as it looked more like a double arm brain buster then a double arm ddt.
eddie kingston's "royal flush" was pretty cool too as it was a swining ddt.

I'll go for other with Paul London's DDT that he used in ROH. He'd hook his leg behind his opponent's, almost like a complete shot kinda thing.
Also, I'm too young to have seen Jake's really. But if London's DDT is just a ripoff of any of the others up there, let me know.
