Are there any CZW shows or series of shows that are really worth checking out?
Their big feud with ROH was great (as everyone knows), and I already like the guys that also work in Chikara. Did they do any shows during the big ROH feud that are worth checking out?

The only CZW show with an ROH invasion is "Best of the Best 2006" and it's only brief with AmDrag, Aries and others.
Other than that, CZW has been really crappy this year. I don't know about Cage of Death, but I haven't seen anything that's all that good.

Cage of Death was an alright show. I really enjoyed "Last Team Standing". I think it was 3 shows ago. Might want to give that one a look.

There was some good stuff (Team Andrew, the H8 Clug saga, Kings. Reign. Supreme, and the BLKOUT saga), but there was some real crap on that show (Dead Presidents...........and more Dead Presidents, overall in ring action). Dear God the Dead Presidents suck. That was painful to watch....in a train wreck way.

But keep in mind I'm also a huge mark for tournaments. Wrestlemania 4 is for the most part considered a really bad show, and I loved it. So yeah, could be that. ;D

CZW's best year was in 05. anything from then is usally good as zandig wasn't booking!
but for some good shows get BotB 5, the best czw 1 night tournament ever IMO.
also COD 6 for the insane wargames match alone.
and for the only good show that involved the ROH feud get "when 2 worlds collide"

it was a guy who worked for SMV.
rumor has it zandig wasn't liking the way he was booking, fired him, then pushed him down a flight of stairs.
the last show he booked was COD 7.

These answers haven't really inspired me to rush out and pick up any CZW DVDs...

Well I'm new to the promotion, and I like a lot of what I see, but it isn't high on my priority list either.

Doesn't sound like CZW capitalized much on the big ROH feud?

No, they didn't at all. Couple of appearences, then just let it go. But, then again, it was more about CZW invading RoH then the other way around, so it stands to reason that most of the battles be fought on RoH turf.
Jed Shaffer ~Plus, I don't wanna see AmDrag taking thumbtack bumps really.

Good point, but it just seems like they did virtually nothing to capitalize on what was probably the biggest angle they were ever involved with. Almost seems like they barely acknowledged it on their shows. When ECW "invaded" WWF years ago (not the Alliance, and not the current atrocity), ECW did numerous things with it on their own program--like the Jerry Lawler/Tommy Dreamer feud. It just seems so bizarre to do virtually nothing. I think we can all agree on THAT one.

Anything with Nick Mondo is worth checking out. Unfortunately, he retired from wrestling (although I'm glad he did, considering the insane bumps he felt inclined to take).

again zandig booking.
but really check out the 2005 year. it was full of awesome moments like team masturbation, KOW's first czw tag title reign, quackenbush as the light heavyweight champion, etc.
it really is a shame they had such a great 2005 year and ruined it with 2006.
