Maybe I need to explain more, but what do you prefer, a wrestler who uses a unique, devestating finish (Pepsi Plunge, Pedigree, FU ) or do you like it when a wrestler "masters" a certain move, (Dino Bravo's side walk slam, Beefcake's sleeper hold)

I like "Death" finishers that are associated specifically with that wrestler. Something that makes NO sense as a midmatch move. Something that you KNOW means the end of the match.

I dunno, I guess I more like the master of a common move sort of, I'm not totally against big bump finishers but I much prefer when guys keep it simple. I didn't like the Pepsi Plunge because it seemed like it took too much work to actually get into, I like finishers that can happen out of nowhere. With a move like the Pepsi Plunge you know when it's gonna happen because they both gotta be on the top rope for it, so it's not so dramatic.

I love finishers that are unique for the particular wrestler that uses them, even if they are a previously used finisher (like Orton's RKO is basically a diamond cutter). A unique finisher really makes a wrestler stand out amongst his peers, IMO.

Leg Drop of Doom. Very devestating.

While I do like "power" finishers, I find a lot of appeal in the "mastered" type finish. After all, if the move is THAT great, why didn't he hit it at the beginning of the match? (Although many wrestlers, like Mark Briscoe, use the complicated setup as the explanation) I'll take a finish like Nigel McGuinness's variety of finishes, where he'll basically be going for a finisher at the beginning of the match - which makes sense to me.

i like the "Death" moves as well. but in my book, submissions could be considered as such... i marked like crazy for the brock lock. it looked like lesnar was breaking them in half. i don't really care if a move is all that unique, as long as it looks devastating.
being a master of a damned sleeper hold sucks. especially if you are ed leslie.

I like it when a dude has something that's his own and is devastating. Moves that are overly flashy suck, though. Like that backflip Rock Bottom thing that I saw once.
Also, we need more unique submissions.

i prefer unique moves, but only if they are something that can be applied quickly, and look painful. for example, da cop killa is pretty quickly set up, and looks like he just murdered someone. on the other hand, the styles clash is clumsy to hook, sometimes taking way too long, and doesn't look like it would hurt a baby.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone need to master the Burning Hammer, so death moves get my vote.

Innovative Death Moves for me. Burning Hammer, C4, Pepsi Plunge, F5, 720 DDT, Canadian Destroyer etc.

I prefer when it's unique because usually, I see a lot of people comparing this move and that move and which ones better when all I want to say is "What's the freakin' difference?"

A unique finisher really makes a wrestler stand out amongst his peers, IMO. I agree; that's why I mark out for Randy Orton's RKO, DDP's Diamond Cutter, and Abyss's Black Hole Slam.

I like high impact moves, but I think the "mastering the hold" psychology is really important for a finisher to be devastating, whether or not it is high impact.

both
I prefer the Unique one, slightly, so I'll vote for that one
It also takes something special to make a "basic" move a finisher. Takes Hogan's big boot and leg drop of doom, or Jake Robert's, or even Raven's, DDT.

I really miss suplex variations as finishers, myself.
