Boris Alexiev from OVW worked a dark match before the SD/ECW tapings last night. Hopefully they will start a Russian stable with him, Kozlov, and Mr. Strongko from OVW. If you havent seen Alexiev before: www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2u3tJDEeBAWe know he TRAINS LIKE REAL AMINAL!! But...does he LOVE DOUBLE DOUBLE E??

Russian stables have worked in the 80's near the end of the Cold War, and Middle Eastern stables worked well around the Persian Gulf War, but Russian stables in this century won't go over. Example: about 12 years ago on Monday Night Raw, a Russian "sold out" to Ted DiBiase and was seen wearing a jacket imprinted with a cent sign on the back of it.

oh come on Russians right now Rule Boxing and MMA of course WWE would put their own russians on the show Just because Russians rule the "real" fighting world doesn't mean that Russians will rule the "staged" fighting one. I do commend Vince on trying new things; basically just throwing a bunch of gimmicks out there and seeing what sticks w/ fans. The problem has become though, that Vince sticks w/ the gimmicks he personally likes and not what the fans like, and it seems that he's failed to realize it's the fans who actually contribute to the bottom line when its all said and done.

Damn. This kid looks good. WWE needs more legit fighters.
I'm on some kinda thing where I want to see MMA action without the MMA time restraints (matches never last long in MMA compared to wrestling). I think fake MMA would be amazing, just because it's a shitload of cool moves and the fights last a while. I don't like UFC as it is because its 4/5 promo 1/5 fight. Most fights (on Spike) last like a minute.
Anyway, I like the look of this guy. I'm Russian, therefore a mark for them. Ivan Drago FTW!

I remember reading about this UWFI fed that did fake shoot fights in Japan. I think it was made by this guy named Maeda. There's also Pancrase which using all the rules of professional wrestling but in shoot fights.

I think Heyman wanted to do that too before they decided to bring back ECW. Man if he and Shane teamed up to make a fake shoot fed...I'd orgasm. Like seriously.

Also, remember this is the guy Cornette slapped for not looking scared enough at the Boogeyman
Does Strongko wrestle or is he injured?
