I went to Waffle House last night after Raw. Several WWE superstars came in. Eugene came in with Cade & Murdoch. I asked Cade why they changed him name from Garrison to Lance, he was like "I don't f'n know!" I was trying to get Eugene to break character but he wouldn't. Eugene would act and talk normal when we was speaking to the wrestlers, but when I asked him for an autograph, he would talk in his gimmick voice.

Dinsmore is a nice guy and a damn good wrestler. It's a shame he got stuck with that stupid gimmick, despite the airtime he's gotten.

BTW, Kenny and Mickey James seemed very down to earth. Mickey was cool about talking about anything from TNA and working with Raven to wrestling Trish.

I remember reading on the Net somewhere, that at a show, someone said to Eugene, "Nick, you're better than this" Apparently, he turned to the fan and said, "I know".
I guess, it's kinda cool he didn't break kayfabe.....

At this point WWE doesn't care enough to change the gimmick. Sounds like a cool time.

But it's WWE, it is strange that they let him use his real name. Also that they've changed it a couple times. It was Lance, then Garrison, then Lance again. I'm also wondering if all C&M's look changes were WWE's idea or just them changing out of boredom, hoping someone backstage notices them. Cade has had a lot of different looks attire-wise, and changed his hair color/facial hair around a lot, and Murdoch even changed to "street clothes" for a while before changing back to ring gear.

It was Lance, then Garrison, then Lance again. I think it's because when they first started calling him Lance, Lance Storm was on the same brand and they called him Garisson to change the fact that they had two Lance's, then Lance left and it was safe to call him Lance again, sounds better too. I think the only name that escapes that rule is Chris.

As far as Cade's appearance goes, he seems to have adopted a "Tim McGraw" look. He's got the long brown hair, the goatee, the cowboy hat, he just looks like a poor imitation of tim mcgraw.

Lance Cade is a diamond in the rough, and it's the same ol' tale, needs to be pushed. Ditto with Dinsmore, but that ain't gonna be happenin' at all due to the gimmick prison that he's in.

Lance Cade sounds like a dick. Kenny was probably down to earth because he has learned his lesson about being rude to fans. You should have asked Mickie if she'd bone me with Kenny watching. Eugene staying in character is probably something WWE makes him do, but he is too embarrassed to talk to the other guys like that. I really wish they would drop the gimmick. Either fire him or repackage him, but please, stop with the wrestling retard.

When was Kenny rude to fans ? Also, Val Venis seems like a real happy go lucky guy. He was walking around shaking peoples hands. I said to Eugene "I like your OVW work." He didn't have a reply to that. I also noticed that Eugene was out of character when the waitress was taking his order. At the end of the night the wrestlers are hungry and they want the orders right. Imagine if he had to do the retard gimmick every time he wanted to order food.

Also, Val Venis seems like a real happy go lucky guy. I had a chance to talk with Val (among others) during my "table waiting days" , VERY nice, polite guy. Talked to him about some of the gimmicks WWE (Russo) had him participate in (Mr Yammaguci-san, Ryan Shamrock, ect) This was shortly after his "Chief of staff" Sean Morely run, I remember telling him how disappointed I was that this was dropped, as I felt that and his tag team with Lance Storm was one of the best things RAW had going on at the time

There was a story that a fan was thinking about pressing charges on him because the fan stopped him during a redlight and asked for an autograph or something and Kenny snatched a sign out if his hands , tore it up before speeding off, supposedly almost hitting him. I believe it was somewhat true, but who knows how much.

I don't understand why wrestlers have to be in character even when they are not in the WWE. Carlito, 3 years ago, was in a talk show in Tampa and he was going off saying stupid shit like "this show isn't cool, but now Carlito is here, it got cool". Also, I was watching See No Evil with commentary and Kane was babbling about how Jacob Goodnight was a reflection of his real personality. Who are you fooling? I bet he tells his kids that he is evil and will kill them someday.
I just think it is completely dumb.

No matter how retarded Eugene acted, it was probably no comparison to the retarded service of the Waffle House staff.

True, it is dumb, but WWE have some verrry very tight rules about off-campus behaviour. All wrestlers are expected to travel in suits - no sloppy civvies. Most are expected to not break the kayfabe of their character at anytime. Even HHH & Steph weren't allowed to be seen to be a couple for some time into their relationship.
Unfortunately, of all the wrestlers around today, this most seems to effect Dinsmore, Jacobs etc etc - the ones with the more extreme kayfabed personalities.
John Cena is basically an amped up package of his already annoying personality. (See "Before They Were Superstars II" for more on this).
