Okay, I know I said in my last thread about the rumble that it would be my last one, but it's the freakin Royal Rumble!!
Anyway, here's a random question, followed by a random thought. Feel free to answer or comment.
1: What's the San Antonio crowd like? Are they smart or markish? Should we expect MSG-levels of crowd reaction, or just people giddy over HBK?
2: It's been said that last year's PPV ended with a title match so Undertaker could destroy the ring. But as I was watching the 2005 rumble the other night, something dawned on me. It was at that rumble that the ending may or may not have been botched with Cena and Batista going over the ropes at the same time, leading to McMahon coming down to the ring (and tearing his quads). And that was how the 2005 Rumble ended. Let's assume the ending really was botched. Would it be possible that McMahon and crew were so paranoid that the PPV could end in such a bad way (as if Mark Henry is any better), they pushed the rumble to the midcard to avoid a similar problem last year? Just a thought.

On #2, I don't think that one botched ending after years of Royal Rumbles would cause it to be pushed down the card. Mark Henry vs. Kurt Angle was the main event last year, and the only reason for that was for the Undertaker to cause the ring to collapse. A weak reason, but the most probable.
I'm worried at the recent trend of s***ty Royal Rumble title matches. Last year there was Henry vs. Angle and the John Cena Gets His Own Giant Ramp For No Reason match. Two years before that, Hardcore Holly challenged for the WWE Title. This year it's Umaga vs. Cena. Ugh.

San Antonio crowds are about 95% mark. Ive made the trip down to SA a few times, and it was full of marky crowds all times. So expect large markouts for HBK, Cena, Batista, etc.
In Texas, your smarkiest crowd will be Houston, followed by Dallas. No other cities here really qualify honestly. All the other little cities they visit in Texas are mark central, including S.A.
