I went to a RAW house show last night at the New Orleans Arena. This show was packed for a house show. It wasn't a sell out, but there were people all the way up in the top levels. When we got to the door, there was the usher to scan the ticket barcode like always. Once we got in the door, there was another usher to mark a W on the ticket. Then I find out that I need a wristband to get on the floor. So now are about 100 plus people waiting in the lobby and about 5 ushers handing out wristbands. A loud 'bull s&*!" chant erupts. I missed most of the first match waiting in line for a wristband. Has anyone else heard of this being done at other WWE events ? In the past, when I had floor tickets, the usher would just check my ticket when I came to and from my seat.

I've never seen do the wristband at a WWe show, but I know they do it at concerts quite often.

I've never had that happen to me at a house show, Raw, Smackdown, or PPV and I've had floor seats to all of them.

I've had floor seats and never had to wear a wristband. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a more recent thing.

Could've been something limited to that specific arena and not the WWE.

I was there on the floor at the New Orleans arena last night and had to endure this stupid sh-- also. We missed almost two matches. First you had to show your ticket to an usher to get to the section where you enter the floor. Her job was pointless as even if you managed to get into the lobby by floor seating, you still had two more steps before finishing your quest to enter the floor seating. Then some people were told they needed their stub signed before you got a wristband. The usher guarding the entrance to the floor apparently could not read the abbreviation FLR on the ticket. Did you have to get your ticket signed before you got a wristband? I am calling the group that manages the stadiums in the morning. I got their early, but still managed to miss the whole first match and the beginning of the second.
P.S. I tried to make light of the situation since people were getting hostile. I said real loud...."This is a disgrace. I am going to write a letter to Vince Mcmahon. Got a laugh."

u know, who won the matches? Cryme Tyme beat Hass/Benjamin. I heard it was a good match. I was in the lobby waiting for my wristband. A development or local guy beat Val Venis in the sloppiest match I have ever witnessed live. Jeff Hardy won a fatal four way with Kenny, Johny Nitro and I forget who the fourth was Khali beat Carlito. You think that they would let Khali practice since its a house show. Nope. Same routing from Monday night. Khali no sells forearms from Carlito. Chop to head and choke slam. HBK beat Edge. Randy Orton was selling the beating from RAW by sitting ringside in a wheelchair. Someone needs to explain to Orton the difference between being injured and being a paraplegic. Orton was doing a stand-up(or sit down) act of a paraplegic. HBK bladed at a house show(I guess he wants to look like Dusty Rhodes when he gets older) Interference by Randy(its a miracle!!! he can walK). Jim Duggan comes out knocks Randy Orton out of the wheelchair. This got a huge pop which was a disgrace. How could people cheer a man who just beat up a crippled man? HBK wins. Cena vs. Umaga--I missed it because I left early. So far the arena botched floor seating and they made the smoking section outside a complete disaster. I figured traffic direction for exiting the arena parking lot was beyond arena managements grasp.

I have gotten wristbands at WWE events held in Buffalo, so it must just be select arenas that use that system.

they had us wait outside for the ECW show on 8/1. It was terrible, we missed the first two matches. It was brutal.
