How long do you predict it will be before WWE releases come to Blu-Ray or HD-DVD ? I know some DVD releases are also available on PSP UMD.

I think it will be along time. I don't remember them making DVDs until '00 or '01, at least in wide release.

If I were WWE, I'd wait to see who wins out, Blu-Ray or HD. I have a feeling it'll be HD anyway.

The thing is, they arent filmed in HD. So even if they put it on a HD or Blu Ray disc, it would just be DVD quailty. When they start actually filming in HD, then they could put it on a HD or BR disc.

That is like a lot of the movies they are releasing on dvd are older movies like Goodfellas. Those was made before HD was invented and all they are doing is jacking up the prices so you can buy the new format.

I think they tryed that for WM 19, but I do not think a lot of consumers were happy at it and they have used it sparingly since. I also don't think WWE will convert to the next level until the market is at least breaking even and a lot cheaper. When they converted their inventory to DVDs on some discs, the quality was never that good, but it was cheaper for them to use in the long-run.

i dont really get blu-ray..... its not like its a big upgrade like vhs to dvd A whole lot more storage space for more options, content, a better picture and, sound. Blu-Ray has 50 gb and they just announced a HD DVD with 51 gb of space. A DVD has anywhere from 1.4 gb to 17.1 gb. The WWE did film a house in HD recently but, apparently didn't like how it looked or the cost to do it.
