I think the problems associated with going to two hours go much further beyond locker room morale.I'd be more interested in what contractual obligations they'll have as far as increasing the workloads of the wrestlers. I'm unfamiliar with their contract structures, but I'm sure a few people have pay or incentives based on appearences. If you effectively double the workload, I'm curious if that means a lot of people are going to be seeing doubled salaries.
Additionally, what is the contract they have for the sound stage and all of the equipment and all the overhead costs you associate with running the shows.? Again, double those costs. When you're not making a profit to begin with, the increased costs associated with this move could prevent the organization from getting out of the red anytime soon.
So, your points have their merit, but it just doesn't stop at asking if its feasible to get the workers onboard.
Yeah, I know what you are meaning. Not only would they have to pay the wrestlers more, have more OH, but also would have to compensate for more behind the scene workers.
Business is a tricky thing. It can seem like every thing is going perfect and the next thing you know you are out of business and wondering what went wrong.
Back in "wrestling fan mode", The Two-Hour schedules for shows might be a blessing in disguise for some people. If they have added benefits for appearing on the show, Sting may have to stay home for a few shows allowing for his "aura" to be used to build suspense for his actual appearance instead of having Impact Fans get used to him and start "What"ing his interviews..
