- Speaking of Inoki, he has claimed his new IGF (Inoki Gnome Federation) will raid New Japan talent, although most NJPW wrestlers are not interested in jumping ship. While most NJPW stars respect Inoki, they believe his concept of pro wrestling is outdated and won't work. Most NJPW workers are glad the Inoki influence is gone with the departures of Inoki and son-in-law Simon Inoki, the former President of New Japan.

Really not suprising and I don't see that this IGF will work. Also as New Japan goes I feel there roster is pretty weak especially in contrast to All Japan and NOAH so it wouldn't hurt NJPW if some of the scrubs left. Plus the Inoki's have pretty much destroyed most of New Japan's credibity as well. So a new start would be great for New Japan.

Never underestimate Inoki. He has made some bad decisions, but he may be able to turn things around for his federation.
Then again....maybe not.

So what dumb things has Inoki done to NJPW anyway?
I keep on hearing he lost it, that he had to sell to Yuukes to keep the company afloat and it's not doing well at all.
What did he do to ruin it?

He nearly put New Japan for of business by trying to bring in the MMA aspect and it failed miserably and hurt all proseu badly. In japan Wrestling fans are not the same as MMA fans and it did not work Inoki has always been more in the MMA mindset but the fans weren't and it wasn't good. Also Inoki was hesintant on pushing new stars and depending too much on foreign talent and not on great domestic talent they had.
