i personally have never found mma interesting. some fights are good, but there are way too many where guys lay around on the floor in a man-love position. i tried to get into, even buying some dvds and stuff, but it just isn't fun for me.
on the other hand, i haven't felt the same about the wwe in recent years. i was a wwe guy from the time i was born, but in the last few years, i've just lost interest.
now ROH on the other hand.....it made me believe in wrestling again. the matches are unbelievable.

I think a MMA fan is more likely to enjoy TNA/WWE over ROH. MMA fans watch real fights so they're not gonna be impressed by "the most realistic wrestling matches possible" - people who watch real fighting are going to want some ENTERTAINMENT on the side, which is where TNA comes in. I watch MMA, so when I turn on wrestling I wanna see PROMOS and CHARACTERS. Not all this phoney baloney 23409293 holds crap. It's 2007, we want entertainment, don't insult our intelligence by pretending your promotion is running in the 1970s. Yes, even Bryan Danielson's matches look FAKE. Shocked? lol Just never can miss an opportunity to knock ROH, can you? God forbid one person knocks it, there's a couple of other promotions that get trashed 24/7 by an ARMY of posters.

I Know that experience, I lost all connection with wrestling after 2003 and then I was forced to watch DBD3 and got pulled back in. ROH brought me back from the brink.

Shocked? lol Seriously, I love you man. You seem to have the same opinion on things that I do. Anyway, about Taker, yeah at the basis he's a zombie, but not in the way that he would be portrayed somewhere else like ECW's Zombie. He took that gimmick and made himself menacing and feared without being all "GERRRRR IM FROM TEH GRAVORS". I said I think I'm done with wrestling because I'm ready to give up on WWE/TNA. I've explained my stance on indies and unless ROH pops up on FSN sometime, I don't think I'll ever spend the time to watch the shows online or buy them. I have Gears of War to play or people to talk to instead. To me there are better things to do with my time than watching DVDs, and it's not just wrestling I feel that way with, it's everything in general. Another thing that turns me off about indies is the way stories are told. I discovered this while looking for e-feds for my friend. Indies are promoted in such a way that "[guy] is coming to [place] to take on [guy], let's hear his comments on his match". While national wrestling is usually more story based, i.e., guy takes other guy's girl. You really can't do that in a touring company can you?

ROH does a few storylines (Gen-next Vs. Shelley and The Embassy) but the company as a whole isn't for everyone.
If it's not your cup of tea, more power to ya.

I just want to second the call to check out your local indies before you give up on pro wrestling altogether. I love MMA and that's a great vid you posted, but I would miss wrestling if I just watched/followed MMA.

So, you can't get into wrestling if it costs you time and money, but you'll play a video game that costs you more time and money?
I'm just playin', don't take this comment seriously.

Around here with all the bashing that goes on the board would be flooded with e-tears.
