As we all know, the Great MUTA was on hand at TNA's "Destination X" PPV on last Sunday. Well, after the show, both All Japan and TNA agreed on a business tie-up. TNA's President, Dixie Carter, along with Managing Directors, Andy Carter and Jeff Jarrett came to an agreement with All Japan President, Keiji Muto, and Director Masayuki Uchida that will have both organizations in a talent exchange, and was announced officially from TNA's Orlando offices.
Keiji Muto inspected the convention and said that TNA's level was high, and that he already had wrestlers in mind that he would like to see in All Japan rings, and had a set of wrestlers he was ready to send over to TNA as well. Muto also got the opportunity to take two pictures with Kurt Angle (who wrestled on New Japan's 2/18 Sumo Hall event), with the two demonstrating a good relationship very early.
With Simon Inoki expressing his wishes to rid New Japan of their relationship with TNA, and eventually resigning as New Japan's president, Muto jumped at the chance, and it paid off.Credit: ajpw.puroresufan.com More (3/13/07) - (All Japan) Tokyo Sports is reporting that Kurt Angle is expected to work in the All Japan ring soon. Jimmy Suzuki acted as Great Muta's manager during his TNA appearance and Jimmy is the conduit here. There was a business meeting between Mutoh, Uchida (AJ Office), Dixie & Andy Carter, and Jeff Jarrett. It effectively means the end of the New Japan-TNA relationship and the beginning of an All Japan-TNA relationship.www.puroresupower.com/I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want to see voodoo murders in america... if only for taru coming out wearing a shirt that says HEEL.

What's so great about Muta? (I mean seriously. I have no clue about him) he was the most over japanese wrestler in the 90's and also was one of the more influential japanese import guys to work with WCW too along side masahiro chono.

He's a legend in Japan, he's one of the best wrestlers on the planet, and well he's invented most of the moves guys on the indy level steal.
So this is like what TNA did when they started and had that talent exchange with All Japan that lead to Miyamoto being released by AJPW
IF TNA can somehow "outdo" ROH and bring in Kensuke Sasake to do a "Dream match" with Joe i'm buying the PPV.
Oh and I'd love to see Shuji Kondo destroy the flippity floppity X-division guys

BERNARD!(he works for AJPW, right?) Giant Bernard (A-Train) works for New Japan, so he won't work be a part of the All Japan/TNA agreement. But man, to see a Taiyo Kea/AJ Styles match would be awesome!

Nuts to that, I'd rather See Taiyo Kea/Samoa Joe, you know since they have the same kind of kick flury style and you know, since Taiyo Kea is a heavyweight and AJ is not. And you know it would be for "island pride" brada. AJ Styles sucks.

Great Muta vs Kurt Angle Kensuke Sasaki vs Kurt Angle Minoru Suzuki vs Kurt Angle Toshiaki Kawada vs Kurt Angle
Great Muta vs Samoa Joe Kensuke Sasaki vs Samoa Joe Minoru Suzuki vs Samoa Joe Toshiaki Kawada vs Samoa Joe
Oh and they could probably use Taka, Kaz, and others for the X-Cup if they have it this year.

I really don't think Kawada will agree to work in America though. From what I've heard, he has a resentment toward America due to the Hiroshima bombing and doesn't want to enter the country.
I would LOVE to see Kawada vs. Tomko though. Stiff kicker vs. Big athletic dude. Love it.

What's so great about Muta? (I mean seriously. I have no clue about him) The reason I like him is because he is an amazing, charismatic and unique wrestler. Wrestlingwise: He has combined different styles to his own. He has some high flying, martial arts and wrestling moves in his repetoire without becoming a flippity floppy wrestler or the standard facekicker or a brawler. He can do it all, but never overdoes anything. He is still a pro-wrestler with a very diverse style who is between making moves look over the top but still realistic. Charisma: Amazing crowd psychology. What the Rock does in his promos is what Muta does in the ring. He grabs the crowd in the palm of his hand and guides them trough his match. At times he will do the most random things out of the blue. Which makes him unpredictable. The crowd loves that and never know what to exactely expect from him. He is also the man who made the Green Mist populair. Unique: There is no wrestler like him. The mysterious wrestler with face paint who spits mist has been done before and after Muta. But nobody ever did it his good as him. To me that gimmick is so strong that his other persona of Keiji Mutoh actually bores me. Muta turned me back into a mark. Everytime I watch a Muta match, I want to see the Green Mist and when he does it I mark. I want to see Muta do his signature things, spit the green mist, hit the moonsault, crawl underneath the ring, cheat, go crazy, no sell, win a match out of nowhere. A good example of a wrestler who has been inspired by Muta big time is Tajiri. Only difference is that Tajiri isn't a ballanced wrestler like Muta and relies to much on the martial arts moves. Tajiri also doesn't have that crowd psychology or the charisma Muta has.

That is why I said the gimmick had been done before. But The Great Kabuki never became such a star like Muta. And from what I've seen from Kabuki, he was hardly as charismatic or athletic as Muta.

So other than Muta who are major stars in AJPW? Most of talent that were there left and are in Pro Wrestling NOAH. So what guys are important that are still in that company?

This is true. Kawada is a racist, just ask Mick Foley. Voodoo Murderers in TNA would RULE. One of the best stables ever people have never heard of. I would buy a TNA PPV just to see Minoru Suzuki slap people around. Suzuki/Joe would be the end all be all. Tenryu is a freelancer, but he tends to work for AJPW more than not, he also works in the GPWA, mostly for Sasaki Office, and also he's part time in HUSTLE. This could mean a possible Kojima/Homicide rematch...lariat, lariat, lariat. Also, Kikutaro works for AJPW! PLEASE BRING HIM TO TNA!
