That is to to say, is there a difference? I wonder this after talking and reading about Destination X and the number of "Gimmick Matches" it will have. If you have to win with a certain move, a match is a best 2 out of 3 or is an Iron Man Match is that a "Gimmick" or just a "Stipulation" and is there a difference? Just a weird question I guess.

This is how i view it...
A gimmick match uses a "gimmick" in the course of the match itself or within the rules of said match. Such as ladder match, steel cage, ultimate x, or falls count anywhere. A stipulation match has a "stipulation" attached to the outcome of the match. Such as loser leaves town, loser has head shaved, winner gets a title shot.
Hence, money in the bank is both a gimmick match and a stipulation match.

Stipulation matches have something special occur once the outcome is decided, beyond a title change/suffering of a loss.

It's all considered "gimmick".... but for the sake of argument, "Stipulation" means a change to the match involving no foreign objects, just rule modifications/incentives. A "Gimmick" is the introduction of a new entity into the match... a cage, weapons, crapola on a pole, etc...
