didnt his inititial push come from the fans alone? the lead up to the royal rumble, then afterwards, it just seemed to write itself and the WWE had no choice but to go with it

I would've thought after the Booker incident he would have heat anyway. That at the fact that obviously he's sucked in the ring ever since his return.

Also, CM Punk has a lot of backstage heat 'cause he turned up the heater in the dressing room raising the heating bill substantially. Well, the girl at the start of Scotty2Hotty's music told him to turn it up.

This has to do with a SD! star: OK...so, what the f*** does it matter to JBL if he made the choice of not drinking alcohol??

I hope WWE brings a different PPV other than the GAB to Vancouver, we never get them. Or they could change the name to the Great North American Bash

... I really don't know which stories to believe. However, I know that Batista got into a fight with Booker though, so I am willing to guess that he isn't the most popular guy in the world and from poor performances at PPV (Rumble, anyone) know he isn't a good wrestler, which could cause some distain. So while it may not be 100% true, I wouldn't be surprised if most of it was. I don't know why so many people clown on him for the Rumble match. I thought it was good, and it WASN'T all because of Kennedy's involvement.

Yeah, he kind of shot himself in the foot with that one.
Not really. At the beginning they didn't really push him that much harder than your average hoss, and in Evolution Orton was clearly the golden boy.
You are correct sir. That entire angle made Batista.
It'll happen soon.
Kurt Angle is an annoying, over-bearing psycho who won't shut the hell up with his worthless opinion and is, in general, acting like a spoiled little kid who didn't get his way at the end and is pissing all over the company that made him a big name and ultimately released him for his own damn good. Kurt, shut the hell up, go away for a few years, and get better. In the meantime, just let us have the memories.
Anyway, back to Batista. His rub REALLY did come from Triple H and Flair, and if it wasn't for them, he would have floundered in the midcard for a while. I don't know if Batista would have made it to the main event otherwise, so I definately don't agree with the assesment that he was "hand-picked" from the beginning. It was more of a right place, right time thing.
