I really like the DVDs that WWE has been producing lately and watch them more than I watch the current product.
There appears to be 2 types of DVD: Documentary + matches on a separate disc (Bret Hart, Benoit, Eddie etc) or matches with a small introduction inbetween (Flair, Foley, Undertaker etc).
Which do you prefer?
Note. I`m only asking about Wrestler DVDs. If there was ever a best of WCW/Cruiser Weights/Wrestlemania or whatever I would expect that to just be a collection of matches.

Documentaries and matches. Watching Taker's DVD recently, and it must be so confusing for a casual viewer. Particuarly the Paul Bearer heel turn, and Paul Bearer coming back to Taker in 98, both which are not covered at all.

I like the Documentaries but they annoy me sometimes because they skip SO much, Jake vs Macho man on Jake's DVD is an example

I love the documentary and to be honest, sometimes I may own a dvd and go months before watching the matches, I have several dvd's where I've only checked out one or two matches if any

I do admit that sometimes WWE tends to ignore parts of history they don`t like and that can be frustrating, but personally I think there`s only so much wrestling I can watch. 9 hours of matches is more than I could watch in one sitting, but I could definetely watch few docs in a day.
Of course the documentary will be better if the wrestler is more interesting, or has a story to tell but most of these guys do.
Especially if his career is near it`s end and he`s been there and seen it all.

Love the documentaries and felt really let down with The Undertaker boxset cause as people said it left out loads and didn't really cover much.

Docu & matches
I feel the documentaries provide an interesting perspective on a person who we might remember bits of their prime in the big leagues from our childhood. I mean guys like Foley who have 3 autobiographies might not really need it but I recently got the Piper one and found it very interesting. Same with Jake, Guerrero etc.

Documentary and Matches. Even then the matches aren't that important to me unless they are real old, otherwise, I probably already have them on VHS or DVD.

I hate when they show the ending of the matches during the documentaries, that takes away from my enjoyment of the matches. In cases of wrestlers that already had a documentary done (UT, Hogan), it makes more sense to just have matches.
