I was watching some videos on Youtube and what was the deal with EVERY manager wanting Bam Bam and why did he go with Big Daddy Dink?

It was a cool way to introduce Bigelow. All the managers were fighting over this hot new talent and each week one of them was eliminated. When he finally appeared, there was only one left (Slick, if my memory from 20 years ago serves) and he said "You are not my manager. Here's my manager, Oliver Humperdink!"
So they introduced Humperdink as well. It was not only a good way to introduce Bigelow as a big deal and basically got him heat with every heel manager in the WWF. It was really well done.
TNA did a version of it with Bobby Roode... and then had him lose 312 consecutive matches. That seemed to undermine the "big star" feel that they spent the previous 6 to 8 weeks building.
