who do you want him to lose the belt to? I honestly think one person should win the belt from him...and that is Kane. Many reasons make me belive this...here are some of them...
A) He has to lose to someonen...Taker should NOT retire with the belt. No chance in hell. B) He should lose at Wrestlemania to someone...and Kane would be the perfect person to lose to. Remember Wrestlemania 19 how they built the SCSA/Rock? How Rock never beat Austin at the big one...I say...do the exact same thing with Taker and have him lose to Kane...after Kane couldn't beat his brother at the big one. I say make this happen 10 years later after their first match...at Wrestlemania 14. C) Yes...I am saying Taker should hold the belt for a year...straight year no losing the belt. I say build the WHC as a contending belt and make it believable. Make it so Kane likes like a great champ. and lastly, D) Kane deserves a title run...no doubt. And I think if they go back to old f***ing kick ass monster Kane. The title run would be so much sweeter.
so their is my thoughts...how about you guys?

I agree with Kane winning the belt. When I heard about Kane's Inferno match with mvp I thought they were gonna have Kane lose get burned and revert to his masked monster heel persona. Then I thought he would feud with the Undertaker. I still say a Taker Kane feud at next years Wrestlemania is the way to go.

Wrestlemania - Taker should win - Mr Kennedy should win the "money in the bank"
Taker should then have a couple of feuds (Finlay, Benoit, Kane)
Around Survivor Series (Or when Taker is retiring) have kenndy Cash in his money in the Bank for the event at the time (Better a big one RR, Summerslam, Sur Ser).
Have Taker/Kennedy pick the match (Buried Alive, Casket)
Kennedy wins (If Buried Alive fine, if casket have kennedy Burn it with Taker inside "killing him off")
(I know it's a rip off from RR 98 but it's WWE were on about)
- Kennedy Gets the belt, a rub from defeating and killing Taker and HUGE Heel heat

Kane doesn't want to win the title. Unlike Taker, Triple H, etc, Kane knows his time is coming closer and closer to ending and he wants the help the younger stars, rather than try and make himself look better as he leaves, see Trish

Honestly, I'd rather not see Kane with the belt. He's a good wrestler who's done a lot for the company, but really, I don't think he'd gain a whole lot by beating Taker for the belt at this point in his career. I'd rather see it go to someone like....I guess Kennedy, but I'd only want it to happen after like a year of build up.

Some of this is pretty out there, but what the hell...
- Taker wins the belt at Mania
- Taker beats Batista at Judgement Day in a First Blood rematch
- At the Great American Bash, Kane beats Batista in a no 1 contenders match. Meanwhile, Taker defends the belt against Booker or somebody
- At Summerslam, it's Taker vs Kane. The match goes in the ring for 15 minutes or so, until the two fight outside, causing a double countout, leaving Taker still with the belt. The two continue with a brutal brawl around the arena. The fight all the way down to the boiler room, Kane pours gasoline all over the place, and just as he's about to put Taker on fire, the Deadman gets up, takes the match, lights the room ablaze, shuts the door and Kane's left to fry.
- At No Mercy, Taker takes on a face Benoit, and beats him clearly.
- Taker offers Benoit a rematch at Armageddon. Kane, in full mask and costume inteferes, costing Taker the title.
- At the Rumble, Benoit retains the belt, after interference from Kane
- At No Way Out, Kane challenges the Rumble winner for the right to face Benoit at Mania. This time, Taker costs Kane the match.
- At Mania, it's Taker vs Kane in a Buried Alive match to settle the score. Taker wins the match, but as he celebrates, Kane's arm emerges and pulls Taker down into the grave. Nearly all the heels in the WWE then come out, dig up the grave again, and put on fire. Neither Kane or Taker are seen again.

I would actually like to see something else happen in that run....at one point in time, Kane and Taker would win the tag titles together, Taker drops the World Title to Benoit or Kennedy, and then Kane and Taker have a fall out (not loosing the tag titles) and have the buried alive match, which leads to both Kane and Taker being buried by someone like Mark Henry. That way they both can retire as champions of one of the greatest tag teams of all time.

I don't think there is anyone on Smackdown that has the star power or potential to take the belt off of Taker (if it is Taker's last run and he retires after). MVP and Kennedy have the potential but, just aren't there yet and the build would take longer than I think they let Taker have the belt.
I guess I'd move Orton over to Smackdown and let him win the belt only to later lose it to Kennedy or Benoit and building off of that. Its not that great but, I just don't see that many options in the amount of time that they will probably have.

Hypotheticaly speaking, why can't Taker retire with the title? If there isn't a strong enough contender what better way to have the Deadman go out?
Here's my idea. Taker wins, and exits in a HOF kayfabe Taker-esque moment. SD is left with no title and a ton of questions. Why did Taker leave after winning the world title? Why did he take the title if he was just going to leave? What about the Championship? These questions keep coming up and build for a month surrounding the Smackdown roster. Everyone is talking about the strangeness. Everyone, but Teddy Long. Batista claims he's champion, Kennedy wants the belt, Kane sees that it's his turn, even Benoit thinks it's his time again. They hound Teddy but Teddy doesn't budge. It seems he might be beside himself with the whole situation. Now things get interesting. There is a rumbling that a few RAW guys are looking to jump to SD. Interviews follow on RAW about the SD title situation. Still Teddy says nothing. Tension builds as the contenders make themselves known, some attack rivals, while others try and get Teddy to speak up about the title. Finally Teddy breaks his silence. Under the watchful eye of Vince MacMahon there will be a sixteen man tournament for the new World Heavywieght title. And with that announcement any superstar be them from RAW, ECW or SD can sign up for a qualifying match. The entire tournament will be held at King of the Ring where the winner will receive the new title. Now the real competition starts with 32 qualifying matches with wrestlers from all three brands competing. And the prize is revealed by Vince as the Retro Eagle World title! With no strong clear champ the one who survives the King of the Ring will get instant cred as a champion, and there will be much room to create a decent rivalry or two.
This way Taker gets his WM moment and a huge legacy honor, while the aftermath creates all kinds of potential, the winner being the guy who can rise above and promote himself as a credible champion.

'Taker better win at WrestleMania.......that way, we can bitch about how he holds younger talent down, his WM streak is long overdue to be broken and if Bam Bam hadn't died, Taker never would be champ.
