Ahh, the match that never was.
Punk is really good in that match, shame he wasn't called up after this one

I remember this one, and was rather surprised that the announcers put Punk over like that. I remember them doing that for Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles as well. I also remember Danielson having a good match with Cena, but I cannot remember how the announcers called that one.

It was a basic hype up Smackdown and the upcoming PPV job on Cena and Danielson

Yeah that was a sweet match. There've been several good matches with indy guys- Colt Cabana's appeared a lot, AJ had a good match against Hurricane, and Chris Daniels and Low Ki both worked macthes against Taka back in the day which were pretty good too, if short. I enjoy looking back and seeing big indy/TNA guys working WWE matches, it's very surreal.

I read on Samoa Joe's OWW profile that he had a match on Heat in 2000-01 against Essa Rios. I haven't heard anything about it besides that.

Dude that was a PPV match right there. If t hey went for more 5 minutes this could be a classic. A shame that the ending went to quick.

When Kendrick came back, we actually heard where he was during his time away from the 'E - that almost never happens.

When Kendrick came back, we actually heard where he was during his time away from the 'E - that almost never happens. Which is why they had to have Tim White kill him off. (ducks) But yeah, Matthews was really good, and if they're bringing in indy talent, the announcers NEED to put them over. Gives them at least some credibility, as well as the guy WWE's pushing.

Ahh, the match that never was. Punk is really good in that match, shame he wasn't called up after this one I don't think he was signed back then. Also, notice how Coach says Punk is from the south, about a minute after Punk was announced as being from Chicago.

that was a good match, thank you for sharing it with me!! Everybody happy! I remember seeing it when Heat was first put online. I thought the same thing as I thought now. Such a shame both workers aren't given anything to do on the main shows.

When Kendrick came back, we actually heard where he was during his time away from the 'E - that almost never happens. JBL was doing it for a while as well. I think he put over the indy work of Turkay, Finlay, Regal, Taylor, Burke and Spanky, if not others as well.
