Well, if thats the TNN show you're going on, it also had about 1/10th of the current ECW's promotion and advertising. And by 1/10th, I mean nothing.

yea I believe they only advertised the show-when the waxing show was on! Seriously, I've heard Francine say that ECW was like a guinea pig to see how wrestling might do on TNN, which I can believe, but at the same time it doesn't explain why they didn't hype it

Its worth noting the old ECW aired only on Friday nights, which is one of the least-watched TV nights (the TNN show).

Maybe all the TNN shows, but, they were syndicated for years before that.

My friend's told me how the only time they showed advertising for it were in commercials packaging all of TNN's shows, and only one second clips of RVD and such were ever there. Then they sign WWE behind their backs, Heyman shoots, ECW closes... And now you know...the rest of the story.

Maybe all the TNN shows, but, they were syndicated for years before that. Ever go to the house shows? i went to several and they were great unlike the watered down shows that were on tv. they also had great PPV's i think people romance the "old" ecw when it came to the old tv show. it never really hit on how good the house shows were. I miss the old ecw myself but i'm not about to drink the kool aid and try to believe it was a popular tv show. If you said they had great house shows i'd tend to agree.

They didn't adverstise for the show! If they did the rating would be the same as ECW on scifi or even higher. There was demand but TNN didn't keep there part up and wanted to get WWE so of course the ratings sucked.
