I was listening to ESPN radio yesterday, the Max Kellerman Show (I really hate this guy. He sucks...but there's nothing else on the radio at that time) and he had ECW's Tazz on to promote ECW.
Max mentioned the upcoming Super Bowl and was making mention to there being two African American coaches playing against each other for the first time.
Tazz responded by saying that the coach of the Bears, Lovey Smith "approached the podium at the press conference with a boombox." Max laughed, Tazz laughed, I didn't.
Am I being a little overly sensitive here because I didn't find that funny. I really used to like Tazz and I'm not seeing him in the same light anymore.
Help me out here, crappers. Am I being too over sensitive?

I dunno why they had to bring up the fact that this was the first time that two teams had african american coaches in the superbowl

Am I being too over sensitive? No. Tazz has always been an assclown when it comes to commentary.

The boombox was probably playing the Super Bowl Shuffle. You just didn't hear that part.

I really wish that Tazz was able to wrestle & instead of talking, he'd just choke everyone out like he used to. I miss that Tazz.

I don't find him funny at all. He reminds me of someone's loudmouthed uncle who always ends up drunk and offending everyone at a birthday party.

Not for nothin', Max, but those black people like their big boomboxes. Did you see Radio Raheem in "Do The Right Thing"? His boombox was as big as a pile of bowling balls.

When I read tazz was trying out comedy, I pictured him on stage saying "And what's the deal with the Big Show's hands? They're like catchers mitts! Who are the ad wizards who came up with THAT one? And another thing, I hate those little plastic things on the end of shoelaces. What is the deal with those?"

This a pointless thread? I think not. It's discussing a wrestling personality(Tazz).
Tazz still isn't funny.

Why is it when Taz makes lame, unfunny racial jokes everyone calls him an assclown, but when JBL makes lame, unfunny racial jokes he gets called a wrestling god?

Because JBL >TAZZ
Oh and also that was part of JBL's gimmick and not part of Tazz's gimmick.

Is it just me? Or, if he wasnt leaving, could a racist gimmick really liven up ECW?

For god sakes you need tougher skin! Stop being so sensitive! Whats up with people being so sensitive these days? Tougher skin? Hmm. Is it an offensive statement? That's what I'm asking. My skin being tougher v.s. a TV personality saying these kinds of things = GINORMOUS difference. Isaiah Washington had a responsibility before he opened his mouth and said what he did. He'll deal with the repercussions. Tazz has the same responsibility and I just see him differently now. That's all.

At least Tazz didn't say "he approached the podium with a bushel of cotton in his arms."
