On another board...before the Rumble. Have Cena lose the title to Kennedy (coming to RAW), then have CM Punk win the rumble and decide not to take on Lashley but Kennedy. Seriously, how could that not be the greatest match in recent memory, Punk and Kennedy would be legendary. I didnt read results this week, so I didn't know what was gonna happen. Suddenly, after Kennedy (my favorite among all 3 shows) finished his promo, CM Punk came out and I marked hardcore...theres still stains on the floor and walls. Anyone who remembers me when I first got here know I often begged for this match to happen, and even had it in my sig for the longest time, so needless to say for me, that this WILL be my markout moment of 2007. It really pissed me off though. Too bad it was a total squash in favor of Kennedy. What the heck was that neckbreaker? That was really lame. I thought the match was gonna go on, then Punk didn't kick out...pissed me off. HOPEFULLY I'll get to see this again when they pump up Punk a little more and could be a legit back and forth match. I CAN'T be the only one pissed off that a match between two of the top 5 superstars on all rosters played out like this.

The match with Kennedy went on a little bit but it was nothing to great. CM Punk gets to show his stuff at Wrestlemania. I anticipate that more than anything.

Yeah, that match was pretty bad. Kennedy was in control for most of the match, and in my opinon, his offense is really dull. Punk didn't look very inspired either.

Well, they all can't be gems, they did have a better match in OVW from what I understand. Not that big of a deal really, I'm sure in some capacity they might meet again down the road and might have a better matchup.

Yeah, if they're planning to do something involving them after this, having them do everything in the "first encounter" would be foolish.

I'm not 100% sure but I think there is some OVW matches between Punk and Kennedy on YouTube if you want to give that a look.

Kennedy has World Titles in his near future. Punk MIGHT.

The match itself was what disappointed me. I was looking forward to it then it ended up being the worst of the 4 matches last night. As a fan of both guys that's quite disappointing. Oh well, maybe next time.

I think people were disappointed because there were extremely high expectations. Cut back on the Kool-Aid playahs

Ok there's the Kennedy hate that used to permeate the area, I was wondering where it all went. I like Kennedy but I was wondering where all his dissenters from about 6 months+ back disappeared to all of a sudden.
I'm not going to comment on the match since i've yet to see it but i will say it's kinda "eehhhhh?" if he won with a Rude Awakening after the only other time he's won with that was against Matt Hardy after Helms waffled Matt with the Cruiserweight Title.

I think you guys couldn't be more wrong. With the ammount of time that they were given i think they made a good match out of it, not great but good. Pretty physical and stiff match especially with Punk bump when Kennedy tossed him out of the ring, and the opening with them kicking each other pretty stiff. The ending i admit was kinda meh, but overall the match wasn't that bad for TV.

Punk's in the dog house and Kennedy is going to win MITB, so it stands to play out this way. Then it's Kennedy v.s. World Champ Taker at the next big PPV but all Punk has is a crappy brand that he's getting buried in. I feel bad for Punk, I really do but unless he's gonna jump ship and go TNA, he's stuck with whatever they give him.

Did it bother anyone else how JBL TOTALLY burried Punk on commentary? I mean, I know JBL is a heel, but he usually has good things to say about a lot of the faces (Mattt Hardy, Londrick, Batista, Benoit, hell, even Jimmy Wang Yang) but during the course of the whole match he didn't have a single good thing to say about Punk, and just said he thought Punk was boring. I really hated it.

I define "dog house" as the guy came in undefeated, pissed off the powers that be and went from possibly wearing the championship to win one, lose one, win one, lose one.
I don't think Lashley was supposed to wear the belt after Show. RVD smoked his chances away. Punk crossed someone and the classic David v.s. Goliath storyline (Show v.s. Punk) never came to be.
The doghouse doesn't exist? Is that the new thing? Wrestlers over the years haven't been saddled with crappy gimmicks or been put on losing streaks because they didn't please the higher ups or did something stupid?
Tell me why it is someone that's supposed to be as popular (seems he is) as Punk would get so much press as to explaining his "straight edge lifestyle" and pumping him up just to have him lose as much as he does?
If you answer "That's just how the Double Double E rolls", I can accept that. But remember:
You don't piss in the boss' orange juice and not expect him to ask for a second cup.
