Big Show's contract with WWE expired just days ago. He was offered a six-figure "intellectual property" offer where WWE would retain rights to his likeness being used in any project, but he turned that down.
He is not, however, expected to sign with TNA anytime soon. Instead, he is involved in another project which will be announced likely before summer.
Big Show, real name Paul Wight, has lost a lot of weight since leaving WWE, as he is taking better care of himself since he's not on the road tempted by restaurant indulgences and catering. He also has stopped smoking; he had been a chain smoker.
I'm glad he is getting healthier. I don't want to see him pass away anytime soon like other wrestlers recently.

Forget the wrestling, I'm thrilled that he stopped smoking and lost weight.

I never knew he smoked. But good for him for taking some time off and getting healthier.

He needs to first worry about losing weight and getting healthy again before ever coming back. He was looking bad there at the end. It's good to see that he is trying to improve himself.

Why didn't he start losing the weight and getting healthy while he was still wrestling? Would have made his matches a lot better.

I said it before and I'll say it again and again.
Big Show is the most underappreciated wrestler of all time.
As much as I love Khali his abilities cant touch Shows at all. If Show kept in shape I think he could of been one of the top 10 Wrestlers of all time. His missle drop kick was just sick.
I'm glad the guys getting healthier.

Show is one of the best big men ever. I think he was more over at the moment than he ever was. His part in the DX Cell match, I think, was fantastic. I loved him as ECdub champion.

I never knew he smoked. But good for him for taking some time off and getting healthier. You obviously don't remember his time in the nWo as the Giant where he'd come out smoking a few cigarettes to the ring. It wasn't as blatanly bad as the "Scott Hall: WCW's resident drunk" angle.

edit: I meant to quote the guy above of why didn't Big Show lose weight while on the road.

I'm glad he's getting himself back into good shape. He's one of my favorite big men, and it'd be a shame seeing him go the way many big guys do.

Why didn't he start losing the weight and getting healthy while he was still wrestling? Would have made his matches a lot better. It a lot easiler to loose weight and get healther when you don't have to travel and eat at resturants all the time. He could try and do that but resturant food is still going to be unheathy for the most part. Quit smoking on the road with the stress is not easy to do compared to now being off the road and at home were he can eat healther and is less stressed.

Not to be cliche, but I wish him well in his future endeavors.
This is why it's a good thing that people get out of the business at a relatively young age like Jehrico, Trish, Rock, etc.

He should be somewhere in his mid thirties. Good to hear he's doing better, though.
