What classic matches in wrestling have you still not seen, even though they are considered "classics?"
For me it would have to be Steamboat/Savage. It's not that I don't want to, I just haven't had the chance yet.

Steamboat/ Savage is the best match I've ever seen. That being said, I'm sure there are a slew of classics that I haven't seen and am just unaware of.

There's a lot I haven't seen because of either financial constraints (read: no PPV's and couldn't afford the video when it came out) or because it happened during my hiatus (I missed most of the Attitude Era and the Monday Night Wars), which is why I re-opened my Netflix account; so I can rent wrestling DVD's, particularly the WM Anthology. WM 18 is supposed to be in my mailbox tommorrow. Now, if only Northland Cable will pick up 24/7...

Undertaker/Angle at No Way Out 2006. Take a look at the Top 50 Wrestlers thing I did... officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=WWE&action=display&thread=1171297458&page=1#1171297458If you go to each entry, there's a match (or tribute) linked... I think I put this match down under the Undertaker's entry... In fact, a link to Steamboat/Savage and Mysterio/Guerrero are also present on that list, so you guys should take a look, some good matches are linked up (especially in the top 30 or so)...

I just bought the last two of the trilogy during the ROH 10 sale. What show is their first match on?

Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho. I'm about to watch right now. I'll tell y'all what I thought about it. Ah, that's my favorite WWE match ever. Hope you enjoy it as much. And for lovingway, the first Joe/Punk match was on World Title Classic but it went out of stock about a week ago. It'll be back though.

I've just watched the Steamboat/Savage match and I don't know whether it's because it's on the net or something but I couldn't help but feel it was a little overrated? I mean I know it was good and I get the feeling it would have been awesome at the time but I don't know I just didn't get that feeling that I'd just seen something epic like I did with Taker/Angle Y2J/HBK Eddie/Rey and even Rock/Hogan (although for entirely different reasons).
One match I still have to see in full although I have seen the highlights is Angle vs Michaels from WM21.

Pretty much the whole non-WrestleMania Attitude Era/Monday Night War. And 99.9999% of NWA/WCW.
Not my cup of tea... titles thrown around like hot potatoes, and that general feeling of "semi-organized clusterwax" drove me gradually away from pro-wrestling, and I didn't care to catch up religiously. The fundamental chapters are more than enough to me.
Sidenote about Savage v Steamboat: indeed the match hasn't aged that well (pretty much like all the 80s stuff), but you have to consider the standards back then were different, and the feud between the two was hot!
So it may sound a lame excuse, but Old School stuff can't be fully understood and appreciated if watched "posthumous"
Savage v Steamboat was a long-anticipated showdown... Now it'd just be the 4693rd match the two feuding guys have with eachother.

When I saw it the first time and a couple of times after I thought it was a really solid match between Savage and Steamboat, but nothing mind blowing. Same way I look at Razor/HBK and their ladder match at Mania X. Good match, but topped many times over IMO. Not to take away from either, because they are both good.
