As if either of them have a chance of winning? I'm surprised the chocolate didn't melt under them

It was a standoff to show that no matter what the relationship to the people in the match you have, it is all about the title shot. Brothers will fight brothers. It shows how much each person wants the title shot.

Well they could've had that, but then just someone push the ladder off. Would've been cooler than 2 guys who have no shot of winning staring at each other for 3 minutes

Would've been cooler than 2 guys who have no shot of winning staring at each other for 3 minutes I think they're trying to make it seem like genuinely anybody could win this, either that or they're trying to give all the hardys fans coronaries so that they'll stop demanding "WE WANT MATT" over and over. Not that that'll work

Actually seems like a good way to end it, make it seem like either of them have a chance and that it's every man for themselves, really gets you kinda pumped for it

It helped remind everyone (since Mercury and his busted face isn't around to remind anyone anymore) that ladders as weapons can be dangerous.

It shows how much each person wants the title shot. This is classic stuff right here. Neither may win but gold is thicker than blood. More drama into the match which I'm sure Jeff and Matt will team up until they're faced with a situation they must confront each other. Old, simple formula. But still, the fact Matt and Jeff have been virtually astranged till recently (even after Jeff came back from TNA) makes it a tad goofy. If you can succeed in making people care about all the individual wrestlers in a clusterwax of a match like this, you have a success. Barring a horrendously worked match, of course.

I firmly believe Jeff is winning sunday. He's been back less that a year and is arlready been pushed back up there as one of the top guys on RAW. Hell, I'll call it right now...
Jeff Hardy is winning the title before the end of the year.
But my dream is Kennedy wins it. Afterwards, Batista defeats Undertaker in a true shocker ending. Being from Detroit, I know how vocal our wrestling fans are, so we will probably all be booing Batista full force at Ford Field. When he wins, Kennedy wil cash it in and defeat him, and the crowd will flip.

For non-smarks, in their mind, anyone has a chance of winning this thing(albeit lower for some). Fans of any of the competitors will hope their guy wins and will turn in to see if it happens. If WWE made everyone that WASNT going to win the event look bad, it would deflate those fans from wanting to see it. Some of us (on this board) realize that 2-3 guys in this match have NOWAY of winning. But that's because we see past what the TV tries to present to us. We must realize that there are just as many that dont do that.

Here's my list of probability...
8. Matt Hardy 7. Finaly 6. CM Punk 5. Randy Orton 4. Mr. Kennedy 3. King Booker 2. Edge 1. Jeff Hardy

I loved it.
It was essentially, "HELLO, WE ARE THE HARDY BOYZ AND WE WILL KILL YOU DEAD IN LADDER MATCHES. FORGOT ABOUT THAT, DID YOU? OH YES, WE HAVE DEFEATED EVERYONE ELSE EASILY AND...OH...HELLO...UM...THIS IS AWKWARD..."
Brilliant booking.

Although we still have to ask why the hell that was the main event on ECW.

I honestly really enjoyed that ending, and I'm not even a big Hardy Boyz fan (Although I like Matt on his own)
But if only CHRISTIAN could've returned and shoved the ladder over. Get away from TNA, Captain Charisma. We miss you.

Because, both Hardys are important stars of the ECW Brand, and by closing the show with them it helps build up the ECW brand as being self-sufficient and not needing to rely on stars from the A shows to draw.
Oops, wrong answer.

Sometime they just are trying to shuffle the card. Storyline-wise, I think that everybody has a reason to win the match.
It reminds me the last RAW before a Royal Rumble some years ago. Undertaker was the last man standing, knocking Steve Austin I think. But at the Rumble, Undertaker was eliminated early by... Maven.
