Tony Schiavone said every week on Nitro "This is the biggest night in the history of our sport."
Well, what really WAS the biggest night in the history of our great sport?
I think it comes down to a number of very good contenders:
Wrestlemania 3 (Savage/Steamboat and Hogan/Andre), the very first Nitro (kickstarted the Monday Night Wars), the formation of the nWo, Vince buying WCW....
Personally, I'd have to say the very first Nitro. WCW offered something brand new at the time... two full hours of superstar vs. superstar, compared to Raw's "one hour of squash matches and a supersar vs. superstar main event." Hell, Raw today, six full years after the death of WCW is 2 hours and is in the superstar vs. Superstar format it was forced to adapt to to compete with Nitro.
Plus, it kickstarted the Monday Night Wars, and those gave us some of the best moments in the history of wrestling with each company trying to outdo the other.
So what's your opinion, fellow Crappers?

I refuse to agree with any other point. I win.
Or not. I dunno. It's a matter of opinion, and that's mine. Anyone who wants to disagree, can.

I'd say the first Nitro wasn't as important as the day Scott Hall showed up. THAT started the real Monday Night Wars. But, the most important night in wrestling history had to be "I DON'T KNOOOOOW". Hands down But without Nitro, could the nWo have been as revolutionary? I mean, them dissassembling the WCW Saturday Night set just doesn't seem as impactful.

The Montreal Screwjob, because it opened everyone's eyes to the backstage politics of the industry.

Hogan turning heel. You had the #1 face of all time telling his fans to "stick it", the start of one of the greatest angles ever and the launch pad of the Monday Night Wars.

Hogan beating The Iron Shiek, without that there would be no Austin, no Rock, no WCW and none of those other moments would've ever happened.

How can something be the biggest night in wrestling if you have to wait several years to find out irs impact? For that reason, it must be WM 3.

I'd say WrestleMania 3 was. I wasn't a fan then. However, I'd have to say, without WrestleMania 3, there would be no Monday Night Wars, no Montreal and certainly, no WrestleMania

Definitely Wrestlemania III.
The Montreal Screwjob wasn't the biggest night in wrestling at all. At the time it just looked like a few kids messing up at the school play or something
