I just checked out Smackdown now and saw MVP's squash match and I was mightly impressed by how they are building this guy up. Yeah, he didn't need the squash, but the fact they give him the mike to say his promo after the match says abundance about what they see in this guy. The best thing about it? He's getting over with it too.
People are booing him because he is being given time to put his gimmick out to the audience, which is one of a cocky egotistal superstar in the making. The thing about it is, people don't usually get reactions because they don't get given the oppertunity to get people behind them.
Not saying every young talent should get ring time, nor am I saying everyone should get this treatment, but it's nice to see every once and a while they build someone up slowly and not just rush them to get on TV.

I agree. Damnit, this is how new wrestlers should be built up! MVP is my favorite part of SD right now.

I reall disliked MVP at first, and he is winning me over now. I get a kick out of him destroying a new country's "national champion" each week, sorry I missed the other ones.

MVP is awesome and the build up for the character has been excellent but, for the love of everything he needs a new finisher. The Overdrive/Playmaker sucks ass.

Yeah, he should go back to the Emerald Fusion he did that one time, then everyone can say how awesome that is and still chastize CM Punk for "stealing" Go 2 Sleep, cause you KNOW that would happen. ;D

Im starting to like him, I think his character can grow immensely over time. Its a slow burn that starts a fire (in my eyes anyway).

MVP went from Future Induction to Favorite Smackdown wrestler in my eyes. And he's probably my favorite in WWE as well...Nevermind. Stevie Richards is. But he's my favorite non-"extremist"
Hopefully he squashes one more country's champion, and then gets lucky against the United States Champion.

I used to say I hate MVP, but I actually do kind of like him, in a way. I think it's his look that is throwing me off. Having his gimmick and looking like a clown at the same time doesn't appeal to me.
