I hate to hear about any promotion going under, no matter how small. But it sounds like Zandig is the worst promoter of all time. As in making Vince Russo look brilliant.
It just sounds like he doesn't even have a clue what he's doing?

this will definatly be the worst BOTB ever especially since Jigsaw was kicked out of the tournament and Hallowicked won't be in it either. And if/when CZW dies, as I said, Zandig has no one to blame but himself. He hmself has said he hates technical wrestling.
Losing the Wrestlefactory hurts because before that the CZW School has had only a handful of students actually wrestle for them, 2 are still around (Niles Young and Derek Frazier), and only two were any good (Chri$h Ca$h RIP, and Frazier).
I will always be loyal to CZW because of friendships I have with several of their employees, and will sad to see it die. That is mainly out of the fact that there goes part of the wrestling I can see live. ROH travels a lot, and I don't really follow PWU so that leaves me with CHIKIRA.
Oh well on the bright side, I've been cleared to start training again at Wrestlefactory.

It just sounds like he doesn't even have a clue what he's doing? he's not the worst promoter of all time, but he's become disillusioned in the past year. He got mad at Burns and Pancoast because they started the feud with ROH so he decided he was going to have total control of booking. He stopped booking the IWS guys, stopped booking JC Bailey, cut ties with PWU, and when the ROH feud was done, basically cut ties with them, which leaves only CHIKIRA, IWA MS (which is a shell of its former self) and JAPW(same as IWA MS) as the "big" indies that will work with CZW (most of the other guys they get now are not well known). Zandig takes everything way to personally, and will hold a grudge forever (which is why PWU and CZW have such anamosity between each other). In short, Zandig is living in the past. He's basically the equivelent to Verne Gagne in AWA's dying days.

It kind of disappoints me even more because as lame as the shows I've seen so far have been, there's something about CZW that I WANT to like. I remember that Cheech vs Cloudy match at Cage of Death last year that was fantastic. They have flashes of brilliance but that's all they seem to be, flashes.
I love my technical wrestling, it's why I pour money in to ROH, but I love a break from it as well. And CZW should be that good break. There just aren't many guys there anymore I can get behind.
I kind of liked Gage, but it didn't last. Pain was ok, but I don't care for him at this point.
I do love BLK OUT, Kingston, and more than anyone else Drake Younger. That guy has something about him that is a star quality as far as the independent scene goes. And at H8 the crowd was ready for him to win the belt, but I was glad they didn't just do a hotshot then. But I'm floored that he didn't win the title at a damn show called OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW.

I just knew that some of my favorite indy wrestlers (Chris Hero, Eddie Kingston, Claudio Castagnoli) got their start there. Still, hate to see something that had such potential go under.

yes Younger should've won the belt.
AND FOR GOD'S SAKE GET THE IRON MAN TITLE OFF OF HYDE.
Just had to say that... if there's one thing that embodies why CZW is failing right now, it's Hyde.

Out of curiosity, was Pain even supposed to win the title in that 3 way where Kingston broke his ankle?

Just for the record, no one stopped booking JC Bailey. He is in jail, looking at a lengthy sentence. If anyone stopped his booking, it is JC himself and his demons.

I was talking about way before that all the way back to before COD6. Also when I said in the one post that CZW broke ties with PWU I ment PWG. CZW and PWU's only ties are bitter workers from CZW's past.

On a completely different note, what happened to "Sick" Nick Mondo. I know he retired after a grip of ring injuries and I so don't blame the dude. I remember hearing something about him going to art school or something but after that nothing. Keep in mind, all this info is from the Unscarred DVD. Anywho, any word on what he's doing as of late?

Mondo retired because of a combination of injuries suffered a Tournament of Death 2 where he took a DVD off the top of a sports bar through 2 tables and lighttubes (unfortunatly, the tables were too far away, so Mondo's back got pretty messed up because he hit mostly parking lot), and a bad car crash that shattered his wrist and cracked a few ribs. He went to film school and has a movie coming out called Fighting the Still Life starring himself and Mr. Kennedy.

y'all silly. i'm calling shenanigans why believe online rumors? those who don't watch it and criticize it are coming off as truly ignorant. And how do you know the people criticizing it here haven't watched it? I have, and it sucks. uhhhh ... you know people don't really watch it when they post "i don't watch it but it sucks" or " i got 1 dvd and it sucked" or " i read about it so it sucks". if my statement doesn't pertain to you then you've got no gripes with what i'm saying.

But the bulk of people who criticized it said they saw it, whether they saw it once or one hundred times. So your statement comes across as unnecessary. Jed Shaffer ~And when you have a history of guys being hung from meathooks and crashing through "lighttube log cabins", that kind of rep sells itself. Badly.

The indy scene is thriving quite nicely. I doubt the loss of CZW would hurt the scene overall. Jed Shaffer ~If Vince even knows of CZW, I'd be shocked. You're missing the point; the more competition, the better.

I've seen tapes of several CZW shows and some matches online and I wasn't all that impressed with what I saw. To me CZW isn't a true wrestling fed when it's almost entirely based around people hitting each other with weapons and bleeding. They had a huge opportunity to gain a lot from the feud with ROH and they blew it big time.
John Zandig doesn't seem like he has the slightest idea of how to run a successful wrestling company. He shouldn't be booking him as the featured part of the show when he doesn't have a lot of drawing power and zero wrestling ability whatsoever. If John Zandig says that he hates "technical wrestling" then that means that he doesn't really care about what the entire wrestling industry evolved from.
If CZW dies, then the wrestling industry is better off without them. Sure it's one less fed but it's one less poorly run fed that the more talented wrestlers have already bailed on.
