Weeks and weeks back, I had a thread where we posted the best matches we would like to have seen that just won't ever happen. Hogan/Austin, Candito/Triple H, the Rockers/Edge & Christian, and so on, so on.
So that let me to think, lets have fun with some of these matches that people posted in that thread. Lets have "hypothetical" matches and vote who we think would prevail (or who SHOULD win. Wink Wink!)
Ok, lets start with the first "Dream Match".....a Submission Match between 5-time WWF Champion Bret "The Hitman" Hart and 4-time WWE Champion "The Wrestling Machine" himself Kurt Angle. Two men will enter, but victory can be clinched only by submission!
Sharpshooter versus the Ankle Lock. "Canada Sucks!" versus "You Suck!" Pink, White, & Black versus Red, White, & Blue Montreal Screwjob versus Pills!
Vote...Debate!

Well, thats the idea of this poll. Vote for you would "book" to win, and whoever wins this poll maybe a week or later, "wins" the match.

I would book so that Angle wins the first match, but by pin fall via Angle slam. Bret admits he's a formadible competitor but wants to really test himself, so he asks for a submission rematch. After many reversals I'd have Bret go over with a roll up pin. Angle is pissed sayig this was supposed to be submission only. The final match would have Angle tap to the sharp shooter because he was the best there ever was/is/will be.
Sorry/mark.

I love Bret Hart, but I think a better story could be told with Bret losing to the Ankle Lock than Angle submitting to the Sharpshooter. I'd have Bret win in other matches with fluke pins and stuff, but for the submission match, it should be Angle.

Bret wins via Sharpshooter after Owen distracts the ref, Bulldog hits a powerslam, Neidhart hits a Shooting Star Press and Pillman crushes Angle's leg with a chair.
The 5 do a beatdown until The Patriot, Ken Shamrock, Big Bossman and Bob Sapp come down and clear the ring.
This feud ends in the greatest Survivor Series match ever...
Where Shamrock and Angle turn on each other and lock each other in there own Ankle Locks simultaniously.
Bossman gets distracted and gets rolled up by Owen.
Shamrock and Angle roll to the outside both selling a broken ankle and getting counted out.
Pillman hits a flying crossbody on the Patriot and Neidhart hits another Shooting Star Press to eliminate him.
Then Bob Sapp eliminates Bulldog, Pillman and Neidhart, only to have Hole in One Barry Darsow clobber him with a putter. Bret gets the 3 count.
Bob Sapp gets up and starts dancing to "Sapp Time" with Too Cool and Chris Jericho.

Bob Sapp gets up and starts dancing to "Sapp Time" with Too Cool and Chris Jericho. Forget all the other stuff. This is what I would pay to see.

You had fun, and I dug your scenario too.

I had this in GM mode on the game. Bret went over.
Bastard Angle then got pissed and went to the other show.

Well, had Angle appeared when Hart was still wrestling, aside from how good a story it could have been either way, if we're talking about booking then surely the ultimate purpose would have been to put Angle over, regardless of whatever culmination the storyline had? Much as it was with Austin. If you're booking a single match with no storyline or resulting feud, it doesn't matter who wins, so long as it's an entertaining match. If a resulting feud is in the works, and one guy is to be put over to some extent - even if they lose at the very end, again it doesn't matter who wins. So long as one guy generates the motive, and the guy who is to be put over gets over put over somewhat. The result in terms of victory is irrelevant. Questions like these are usually reserved for hypothetical real fights.
